Beautiful Hotel with Personal Touch in Rothenburg

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Nov 22, 2018via mobile
The hotel is perfect for anyone looking to stay in this little romantic city of Rothenburg. The place is in a great shape, clean and cozy. We stayed in the suites with loft and that gives you plenty of space. The staff treat you like a family and will do their best to honor every of your request. Highly recommended for anyone who want to stay in this lovely city with this lovely small hotel.

This is, without a doubt, one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure of staying in. A beautiful old building, it is simply packed with wow-factor. We were driving and couldn't find the hotel so we rang and they sent out someone to guide us in. We unloaded our bags and the same helpful man parked the car for us. We were offered a glass of something sparkling and cold as we completed the registration and were made to feel very welcome. And that's how it continued .... nothing was too much trouble and the attention to detail was second to none. Our room was not the largest but very comfortable and was as characterful as the rest of the building and had views of the church opposite. This charming town is so interesting and I wish we'd had more time to explore it. We had dinner - absolutely delicious - in the very tastefully decorated dining room. It was a real home from home and whoever was in charge of designing it gets ten out of ten from me. Understated, luxurious, warm, welcoming. Breakfast was just as good and as we didn't have to check out until noon, we had time to explore the town. The host and hostess and their staff were incredibly attentive and one day, we will return. Thank you for giving us such a great stay.

Room tip: We had room 1 but next time we will ask for room 2 - a lovely, large room which we will probably never, ever leave.

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our Germany tour. We couldn't have asked for more.

The hotel is right in the centre of the old town, so there is no reason to need a car to see the local sights. Being the old town, traffic is restricted and there was no noise from the street. Your car doesn't stay at the hotel, but they drive it away and park it in a secure location. if you do need something from the car it is a walk away, so make sure you have everything you need.

Our room was spacious and there was plenty of room. The en-suite facilities were modern and the shower at the end of a day walking around the town was just what was needed.

We were offered a drink on arrival. A choice of what ever we liked. The beer was just right after driving most of the day. We ate at the hotel in the small courtyard, and the food was delicious, all served with pleasant smile and real interest in whether we were happy with the food (or not). Breakfast is slightly unusual, in that you order it, and they don't have a buffet style breakfast like most other places. For the small number of guests this works perfectly, and there was no hanging around whilst things were brought out from the kitchen.

All we need now is an excuse to go back. Maybe the Christmas market is calling.

Our stay was as delightful and the town of Rothenburg. Melanie and Marita went out of there was to help us. We arrived a day early and with out hesitation Melanie quickly found us a hotel near by for the night. The location is ideal and the resturant delicious. This is by far one of my favorite places in Germany. You will not be disappointed.

A very beautiful hotel with many comforts of America. Beautiful gardens you can have dinner in. The staff is more than helpful and made us feel very welcome. The restaurant is good and the rooms are spacious, and clean. They took our luggage up to our room which was nice because there are no elevators. Nice to have WiFi that worked and chocolates before bed. Downside is as comfortable and inviting as the hotel was it is on a busy street so beware if u sleep with windows open. Also their pillows and beds are still not “American”. The pillows are very uncomfortable and I left with a neck ache. The beds also are very hard with no top mattress. Otherwise very romantic and beautiful. Definitely would stay again.

My wife and I stayed here and it was absolutely perfect. We had the Amarylis Room which I highly recommend: spacious, a wonderful view across the trees to the church, a capacious bathroom and, most important, an absolutely comfortable bed. The hotel staff, in particular, Annette and Fritz, were warm and helpful and the complimentary breakfasts were of the highest quality and as much as you wanted: two types of cooked sausage, freshly made eggs, excellent coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, etc... The hotel is well located just steps from the Marktplatz and there is parking. We had dinner one night in the hotel and it was, not suprisingly, top notch. A perfect sanctuary.
