The best service I have ever had. They go out of their way to insure you are comfortable in a charming hotel
Breakfast in their garden is amazing. We are just sorry we were there the two nights the restaurant was closed each week

Our only issue was several flights of stairs to a very spacious and well appointed room. However, after the ascent the room was extraordinary and worth the exertion. The beamed ceiling and luxurious bathroom was an unexpected pleasure.
Date of stay: September 2018Room Tip: Stay in the top floor if you can walk steps. And front suite has good views on the charming village.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Hotel Herrnschloesschen very much. We were greeted with outstanding hospitality, being immediately invited into the hotel garden and given drinks of our choice whilst checking in. Our host was always willing to advise about the locality and spent some time investigating tickets for a castle we intended to visit in a few days. We had the added surprise of having the hotel take our luggage directly from the car to our room and park the car safely off the street for us.
Our room “The Golden Apple” room was up an old windy staircase on the 4th floor. It was very spacious with a huge comfortable bed. It had a writing desk and overlooked the street. There was no air conditioning and the temperatures was very high, but we were provided with fans. There was a bit of noise from the street which forced us to shut the windows overnight but it was very pleasant in the daytime to leave the windows open. We enjoyed the lovely old beams in the ceiling.
The breakfast was delicious and we chose to sit in the lovely garden to eat it. We had to battle the wasps but unfortunately that goes with the territory!
The hospitality here is wonderful and it seemed that nothing is too much for the helpful staff. My only disappointment was that the restaurant was closed but there are plenty of eateries nearby.

This hotel is superb in every way. It offers personal friendly attentive service in every aspect of its operations/ The setting is perfect to explore the streets and gardens of Rothenburg. The dining experience is top quality and in the summer is enhanced by service in the quiet and peaceful garden. All the hassle of car parking is taken care of for you by the hotel and check in is accompanied by wine in the garden. No queues, no aggressive front desk staff - just bliss. :)

All the reviews are true! I mean how often can you say that? Everything here from the check in to the check out was absolutely perfect and despite only leaving less than a month ago, I already want to come to stay here again.
The location is great, a stone throw from the main square and within walking distance everywhere inside the city walls aka old city centre. On the other side of the street the hotel located in is a lovely garden with a view onto town and valley. Its a lovely quiet neighbourhood, in the charming town of Rothenburg.
Check in was a breeze with a glass of local sparkling wine offered, our car being taken away to parking and our suitcases being brought into the room.
We stayed in Amaryllis room, which I absolutely loved. It was quite spacious, with great attention to details in the room design, lovely view onto the street, ample storage space and basically everything you can think about including a hand written welcome card. Having a minibar included in the room rate was great, we loved having our evening drinks in the comfort of our room. It felt like we were home away from home.
Very spacious bathroom with a bathtub and great toiletries selection.
It was great to have breakfast in the garden, thanks to good weather. Food was great and came by menu, lovely to have it like that instead of the buffet. The choice was good and we surely did not leave hungry.
All the staff we met during our short stay were nice and friendly. We even got some water 'for the road' when we were leaving, which was a nice touch. I admit I decided to splurge a bit while booking this hotel, but in the end it was worth every penny.
My only regret is that we came on a day when their restaurant was closed for dinner, but maybe there is a good point in it, cause now we need to come again!

Amazing stay at the most charming hotel. Welcoming staff, well appointed rooms, air conditioned, clean, wonderful breakfasts in the garden. 100% recommend. The staff went over and above to make us welcome!
