If you are looking for some authentic Franconian cuisine then I highly recommend this restaurant. The owner is very friendly and quite accomidating. We arrived at the Burgerkeller exactly as they opened. Even though all of the tables were already reserved, he found us a table and took our order right away. The restaurant is recommended by Rick Steves and I can understand why. It is situated near the main square. After entering the building you will head down a small flight of stairs to an open but cozy keller. Paintings of the medieval era decorate the walls. Aside from the atmosphere, the food is rave worthy. I had 6 small Nuremburger sauages, traditional German noodles, and in-season, locally grown mushrooms in sauce. So very delicious!
