Suzanne's
Ranked #15 of 23 Fussen B&B and Inns

Suzanne's is a very nice B&B. Everything has been renovated and modernized, especially the bathrooms. My family and I of 4 adults stayed very comfortably in one of the big rooms there. The room and bathroom were very clean and well kept. It seems like Suzanne takes very good care of her house. The breakfast was your typical German hotel/B&B/etc breakfast but it was still excellent. There were plenty of choices for everything. She even asked us what kind of bread we liked and went and bought that specific kind for our breakfast. The B&B is a little bit out of the town center but it doesn't take too long to walk to and from there (even in the Winter). Suzanne also gave great tips on what to do and see in the area and we definitely were not disappointed or bored! She was able to give us insights and advice that months of planning before did not provide us. The only problem I had with the place was the price was a bit high; however, I still think it was pretty fair considering it is a very nice place and it is in a tourist town. There are probably cheaper places around Füssen; but, I would still highly recommend getting this place if you are willing to splurge.

Suzanne's B&B is close enough to walk to the town center (about 10 min) which has plenty of shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Suzanne introduced us to E-bikes and we used them to visit both castles as well as tour the local area. Our room was very large and nicely appointed with a semi private balcony. It was also very hot and we couldn't sit in it until after sunset. (facing afternoon sun in August) After a few not so subtle references, Suzanne purchased a fan for us to use and all was good after that. A small fridge in the room would have been nice to keep beer and water since the kitchen was off limits. The bathroom was large and spacious but showering was a bit off. Everyone was helpful and wanted our stay to be the best possible. Overall a very nice stay and Highly recommended.

Room Tip: If it's the "hot season" ask for a room on the east side or on the main floor.

We arrived very late and Suzanne was happy to give us the entry code and provide us with all the crucial "touristy" information we needed. She single handedly made our track around the surrounding castles wonderful! There was no TV in the room, but I thought the rooms and balcony were charming. I also loved the garden and looking out the windows to see goats grazing on the surrounding hills. In fact, I loved that our room had natural light on three sides. The breakfast was delicious and every table was filled with fellow happy travelers. Suzanne was eager to please and really funny to talk to. We were sad to go! I loved this place!

Great place! Clean comfortable and friendly. Suzanne was amazing and friendly and made a simple but delicious breakfast. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Our room was very spacious and clean. Wifi access was available for 5 euro. Wifi worked good for emails to family. The older home was well kept and had a beautiful yard.

This B&B was a horrible experience because the owner is totally unpleasant, the garden is not accessible, the room is near the street and the railway, it is very expensive comparing to all the other B&B we visited. The breakfast presents industrial food : bread, jam, cheese, ... The website does not tell the truth. This is not fair! And the young lady who cares for the breakfast is completely terrified...

We were a little disappointed in our stay here. Our room was fine and the view of the gardens was lovely. Place is very clean. Problem was that the owner was very cold, which made us feel uncomfortable. The breakfast was also adequate, but we felt nervous to get more food. We were in dire need to get on the internet to check on our businesses back home, but the internet was down. That's understandable, but then she said that for a "fee" my husband could go to her kitchen and use the internet there. Well, he did use it for a few minutes. Honestly, we would not go back, but I see that other people had good stays, and I am glad for them.

We've been to Suzanne's three times in the past year. The first time we went we picked it because of it's great location. The castles were mere minutes away. It was a short walk to the town center as well as some local points of interest. Suzanne was very helpful when it came to planning out some day trips. We were so impressed with the cleanliness of the whole place and thoroughly enjoyed the traditional German-style breakfast. We couldn't wait for the opportunity to return. Eight months later we were able to make another trip but this time brought our four legged child and my sister. Suzanne suggested getting the bigger room with an adjacent smaller room so we would all have privacy. It worked out great and my sister was very impressed with the place. She is a clean freak and couldn't find anything to complain about. We didn't get a chance to fully appreciate the beautiful yard the first time we went but our dog made sure we didn't let that happen this time. Suzanne and her husband made our dog feel as welcome as we did and even offered to let her stay with them if we wanted to do something where dogs might not be allowed. On this trip we realized just how much more there was to do there and made arrangements to go back in just a couple months later. We feel like we're going to visit old friends! I've read some negative comments about Suzanne and have to say I disagree. I do believe expectations when staying at a B & B shouldn't be the same as when staying at a fully staffed hotel. Some people don't realize that although it is a business it is also someone's home. A routine is developed to keep things running smoothly as well as trying to maintain some sort of personal life. Suzanne does quite a bit to make sure that happens. If she's booked up and then someone wants to show up early, it's not as easy as it would be in a hotel. I think some of the complaints are from individuals that aren't respectful of that or are better suited for something other than a B & B experience. Personally, I can't wait to go back again.
