As noted before, hotel is a short distance from Neuschwanstein Castle and 1 block from the center of Fussen and an easy walk to the castle. We stayed in Room 1- very large. Breakfast was wonderful with large assortment. Had Wi-Fi. One problem could be no elevator. Would certainly stay here again.

This hotel is walking distance to the Fuessen train station and shops. The hotel is beautifully decorated and there was delicious breakfast and coffee. An added bonus was the free internet either in the room or on the computer in the lounge. There is a lot to do nearby just walking around the town you can rent a bicycle at the train station. Plenty of space in the room. Overall a really enjoyable place to stay.

O.k! where to start?!
I think for the price of our room it was one of the best hotel i've ever been!!!
The hotel was looking amazing from the outside - the only "problem" is 5 minute walk from the center of the downtown, but nothing less!.
Our room was completely looks new and has a very good smell.
The bathroom was beatifully decorated with a shower glass. (I whish my showe will look like that).
The bed was very comfortable and our sleep was perfect!
The breakfast was amazing! beyond the variety of food they offered us very good pretzel, there were computers with internet access (outside to breakfast room because it was fully occupied), it didn't felt like a breakfast in a hotel.

The lady at the front desk was kindly and helped us naviagte through the city.
I really can't complain about anything at this hotel.

Totally satisfied :)

This hotel is a short drive from Neuschwanstein Castle and is decorated in a purple fairy tale motif, as its name suggests.

We had a suite for 5 with our kids. It consisted of a double bed and a single bed in one room and a bunk bed with a rectangular dining table and small kitchenette in the other. To get to the bathroom you had to go through the room with the bunk beds. It was charming with soothing violet hues, but sharing a bathroom amongst 5 can be tricky.

Service is friendly and the breakfast spread was good. We asked for recommendations for dinner and were given coupons for welcome drinks at another nearby hotel which turned out to be a sister hotel.

Fusen is a charming town and you can easily get around town on foot to shops and restaurants from the hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in October. First the downsides...my room was at the top of some marble? or granite stairs and all the noise of the reception area and anything in that area came straight into my room. There was construction going on in the stairway and I was told they would finish that day. To my irritation the next morning right at 8am they started drilling and music was playing from the radio. I was exhausted and wanted to sleep in a little, but who can with all that going on. The next morning I was woken at 6am with the loud banging of preparations for breakfast (or something) which went on for about an hour. So I complained about that, and they did give me breakfast on the house to ease my irritation. I wish they had moved me, as I had asked for. The night time receptionist was very helpful. The room was cosy (but loud) and it is a short walk to town. This was the only place that I stayed at that had a communal area with internet, which I was very grateful for, as internet cafes seem to be a thing of the past. Breakfast was good.

By all accounts, this was our best accommodation choice out of all the places we travelled to in Europe and the UK. Not only is it close to the centre of the town, but it is styled so beautifully - right down to the shared areas (computer and breakfast rooms), and so unbelievably well priced. We booked the 5 bed room for our family of 4... our teenage girls were in bunk beds, and we loved it so much that we wanted to stay more than the 2 nights - the views from the room were spectacular. We opted for the breakfast on both days because we found that we couldn't resist sitting in the beautiful breakfast room... and the food was great. Could not think of a better choice than this one for your stay in Beautiful Fussen!!

Room Tip: Definitely pay the extra for the 5 bed room if you are a family.

We selected the Fantasia hotel as it looks different than other hotels. It was easy to find and less than 10min driving distance from the Neuschwanstein ticket center.
We had room #18. The receptionist spoke good English and she showed us the room. There is no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs.
Our room was actually an apartment. The first room has 3 bunk beds, then you go through a corridor with a big closet and reach a small kitchen and the master bedroom with master bath. The room had purple walls, just like on the photo. It was spacious and clean and it had a nice balcony looking directly at the Fuessen castle.
The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern. The TV was mounted to the wall and had CNN.
Breakfast buffet (additional 8 Euro) was traditional German breakfast rolls, croissants, bread with sliced sausages and different types of marmalade and Nutella (addictive!), corn flakes etc. For those who like it more like home, yes they had sausage, bacon, scrambled egg and orange juice. Their coffee machine makes different types of coffee incl a great macchiato.
Long story short: nice hotel, I recommend it and would stay there again.
