On a drizzly day in Dinkelsbuhl the museum of the third dimension was the perfect way to spend the 2 hours before we could catch our bus. For a modest entry fee of 10 EUR each we felt we got our value. As with any attractions you will get the most out of it if you are willing to read the instuctions on how to achieve the effects. Anything and everything to do with optical illusionist art, hollograms and trick effects to fool the eye. There was a laminated brochure in English to borrow which explained the exhibits. Young children may not have the patience to fully appreciate the displays here so you will have to spend time with them to help them get the most out of it. Older children will love it! Some effects take time and effort to appreciate. You know,,those pictures you have to vacantly stare at until the 3 d image appears, they can be ellusive and then suddenly it happens. Our favourite section was the hologram displays, some images eerily seem to leap out at you.The museum has an impressive selection of three D poster art from vintage movies etc. We really enjoyed our time here. There was a great gift shop too with some really different gifts.
