We were travelling the Romantic Road in Bavaria as part of a holiday in Europe and decided to spend one night in Dinkelsbuhl. A very wise decision as it is a wonderful, quaint medieval town. I took advice from Tripadviser and booked The Kunst Stube guest house. It lived up to it's reputation. Excellent position just inside the wall with parking until 10am next morning but free parking just outside the wall. We stayed on the second floor in a delightful room with a four poster bed, which was very comfortable. Everywhere was very clean with nice sitting area. Quite a climb up the stairs with luggage for anyone less able. Quiet, no road noise at night. Very good breakfast in a delightful dining/ breakfast room. I would definitely return!

I am always looking for different B&Bs when I plan our annual driving trip through Europe, and I came across this Bavarian wonder. Our English friends met us in Munich, and I wanted to treat them to a great Bavarian town. Dinkelsbuhl is just that. Yes, you drive thru an stone arch to get into the walled city, and it is typical of what you believe you would see. Cobblestone streets, great little shops, restaurants, churches and this particular B&B. I can't begin to tell you how spectacular our stay was for those few days.First and foremost for me is cleanliness. This was immaculate. Our room was a suite, with not one, but two sitting areas...great sofas, oversized chairs, dated carved wooden pieces, etc.that overlooked the front street. Very quiet though at night. The bed was especially comfy, and of course the bathroom had a shower. Ample room in the bathroom I might add. I sat at the great desk using my laptop and the internet was free. Great reception as well. The breakfast room was delightful, and the four of us at in the special side room with swords and armor on the walls. Very very medieval...absolutely wonderful breakfast. Parking right outside the door, Italian rest. next door, which I would not highly recommend. It's OK, but not highly priced for the quality. There are plenty of restaurants in town that are worthy of your visit. The town is just large enough to feel comfortable to walk, and the people are very sociable. The owners of our B&B also have a very small shop inside the lobby area where you can pick up a souvenir. If you are in the area, you need to stay here at least for one night. You definitely won't want to leave.

Room Tip: The suite was wonderful, but all rooms are lovely...most have canopy beds.

We booked this hotel/B&B to break our drive to Austria. We usually just book a chain hotel near the autobahn but thought this would make a change and Dinkesbuhl looked worth a visit. So pleased we did! The hotel is charming, we had a lovely room with 4 poster bed on the second floor. The owner is friendly and welcoming and speaks good English. Breakfast was good, the usual continental cold meats, cheese, muesli etc, with a boiled egg offered if desired. Plentiful coffee! We had time to explore Dinkesbuhl next morning before continuing our journey it it really is a gem. Overall highly recommended. If you stay, eat at Weibs Brauhaus (see separate review).

Located inside the town wall, just up the street from the central town, this old hotel is a gem. The room was quaint, nicely appointed, with a great 4 poster bed and a very nice full bath. The breakfast was good, but the venue even better. The hosts were quite accommodating, and parking was actually available! The front room was quiet and a good place to shake jet lag. The small gallery had a good selection of arts and crafts and was a stand alone walk in. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

A terrific guesthouse with very welcoming hosts. Right next to Segringer gate in the old town. This place feels like a home away from home. Furnished with style , our room had a 4 poster bed. Hosts Arthur and Hildegard are first class and very talented artists in their own right. A good breakfast and we bought several water colour paintings from Arthur. The place is close to everything in Dinkelsbuhl.

Room Tip: Try and contact before you arrive. All rooms are good.
