This incredibly charming city is a must-see on your tour of Germany. From the shops to the town crier to the chimes of the church bells marking the time, it's like turning the pages of a old German storybook. The Hezelhof Hotel was the cherry on top. The juxtaposition of the traditional facade of the building and the high end contemporary interior is an unexpected stunner. A courtyard adorned by a hanging ball of tiny lights, leads you to the door of your very modern suite. Our living room, bedroom and bath were beautifully designed and spacious, with hardwood floors and a view from several windows overlooking the town's main street. The staff was one of the nicest we experienced, escorting us to our room and assisting with our bags. A complete kitchenette offered a large space to prepare the breads, meats, and pastries readily available just beyond our door. Our only suggestion to the owner would be to add a larger sofa for more seating in the living space.
We appreciate the classic German buildings, however, this hotel was fun, sophisticated, and an enjoyable experience. Surely an architectural jewel in the crown of Dinkelsbuhl, we highly recommend this hotel for its service, location, beauty, and for daring to be different.More
