From checking in to checking out everything was first class, this was the first time ever we have been greeted in the car park upon our arrival a really nice personnel touch. Our room was fantastic and had a separate living area all of which was impeccably clean. Everyone at the villa were extremly friendly and couldn't be more helpful.
Breakfast was very nice they even had English tea.
The restaurant we hoped to have our evening meal at was fully booked, but the young lad on reception (sorry can't remember his name) told us to go to the gasthaus in the village and what a great choice we had a fantastic meal, and the best apple strudel ever all at a very reasonable price.
Their are cheaper places to stay in Augsburg but overall the villa arborea was well worth the extra.

The people at the desk and the breakfast room are very welcoming and helpful. We got a lot of info on what to visit and how to get into town. Breakfast was wonderful and we had it in the beautiful garden which surrounds the hotel. There is a parking and a bus/tram stop in front of the hotel that goes directly into town.
All in all don't hesitate.

Pros:
- Breakfast was a generous buffet with a variety of delicious, fresh food: breads, cheeses, cold meats, cereals, juice, jams etc.
- The room was spacious, comfortable and very nicely appointed. The bathroom was also good.
- Our room had a view over the garden - quiet, green and very restful.
- Bathrobes were provided for our use during our stay.
- A small bowl of fresh fruit was provided in our room on arrival.
- The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. They seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we had a great stay. An example of how thoughtful they were: at check-in we asked for a recommendation for dinner and the receptionist recommended a nearby beer-garden. She rang our room a few minutes later to apologise that she had forgotten to tell us that the beer-garden only takes cash, not credit cards... she didn't want us to be caught unawares.
- The dinner recommendation turned out to be excellent - a nearby authentically German friendly neighbourhood beer-garden.
- Easy location to access by car, if you are driving the Romantic Road. Parking available.

Cons:
Location is a couple of kilometres out of town so you need to drive or catch a bus or tram in to town.

The hotel is located a bit outside ( approx. 2-3 miles) of the city center in a residential neighborhood. The hotel used to be a large residential home of an industrial entrepreneur. My guest room was spacious, very clean and well equipped ; a complimentary fruit offering was in the room: nice touch. There is free parking and free internet ; perfect !!
The breakfast buffet is rich and delicious. The owners of the hotel are very friendly and communicative. In the basement of the hotel is a small fitness area and a nice sauna.
For diner check out the nearby restaurant Berghof: great Bavarian food and beer. While in downtown Augsburg check out the Fuggerei ( a 15th century residential area) and the Berthold Brecht museum (if you are interested in German literature) or the busy farmers market halls.

We enjoyed this hotel very much. The rooms are large and well decorated. While the neighbourhood is not attractive, the grounds are beautiful. Breakfast was excellent. Best of all, the owners are both helpful and interesting to talk with.

We stayed in the hotel's one family suite, which was very comfortable for us and our two kids, who were on a fold-out double in the sitting room. Breakfast was great and the staff was always attentive to our needs. We came by car, but the hotel is also on the tram line into the old town. It was a 40-minute drive to Legoland, which our kids really enjoyed. There was a market and a few good restaurants within walking distance.
