“A hard climb”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

Be prepared for a steep climb as there are numerous steps. Also try to time your visit so it doesn't coincide with the bells chiming. We had to wait at the entry ticket office on the level below the bells, but nevertheless the chimes were still hard on my ears. Interesting views from the top, but not spectacular.

“A long climb for not much of a view”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

We climbed up to the top (which is where the entry ticket office is located!) but the views weren't really worth it we thought.

“Great view, can be hard to find entrance”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

The view over Augsburg from the Perlachturm is great. The entrance can be a bit hard to find - it's on the side of the church, where you only wonder if it's a door left open. The ticket office is just below the top of the tower, so you have to climb quite a bit to get there.

There climb is steep and narrow, so go one by one and catch your breath. It's probably not the thing if you're afraid of heights.

“Entrance tucked away”
Reviewed May 18, 2013

The Perlachturm was a fair climb to a nice view. The entrance is just around the corner from the front of the church, tucked away inside an alley with the ticket booth most of the way up the tower.

Make sure to plan your climb so that you are NOT up top during the bell ringing. We did not have that problem, but the ticket lady was warning people of the time as we started down.
