“Augsburg's Fountains”
Reviewed March 4, 2012

Augsburg is renowned for its beautiful fountains, of which
there are more than 30. The most famous are the Mannerist
Augustus, Mercury and Hercules fountains, made in the
late 16th century to mark the city’s 1600th anniversary. Also noteworthy are the Neptunbrunnen of 1536, the Georgsbrunnen of 1565, and the Art Nouveau Goldschmiedebrunnen of 1913.
