ok so this hotel calls itself 'etap city' when infact it is a 20minute walk to the central station/shopping area and it actually doesn't lie in the city centre as you pass the signs marked welcome to the city centre' as you begin your walk from hotel to train station. therefore the hotel has a misleading title. Also at 52 euros a night its is about 15 euros per night more expensive for a single person booking than most other etaps I have stayed in across europe and doesn't include breakfast.
However although the hotel is a bit of a walk away and slightly overpriced the room was ok. Double bed with bunkbed above (must add I kept banging my head on this when I got up to get out of bed even though I am only 5ft 5). Decent size tv and desk and okay shower. Room clean and also free wifi (very slow though). However the walls are very thin and as the couple next door decided to spend most of the night lovemaking I had very little slepe on one night.
Guy on reception very friendly though spoke good english and also helped dispose of my suitcase that broke for me and provided city map. Also petrol station and pizza bob restaurant/takeawy and 24 hour supermarket next door which is very conveniant for breakfast supplies.
Overall it was an ok hotel but if you can manage to get a city centre hotel for similar price I would do that instead.
