“Cute, kitsch, good beer.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 7, 2012

While we were waiting for our reservation at a nearby restaurant, we stopped into this little place for a beer. We sat up at the bar and each tried a different Bavarian brew. Watching the food come out - everything looked pretty good. Prices are pretty high, but that is to be expected right in the centre of town. They have a smoked beer from a neighbouring town that is quite interesting if you want to try something totally different.

“Always a good time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2012

Good, traditional food here (especially the soup with cheese crouton - make sure you try this for a starter).

Smoked beer is always worth a try too if you're feeling mildly adventurous.

Only issue is that this is VERY popular with tour/business groups, and seems consistently busy in the evenings with a high proportion of overseas customers. Service can therefore be a bit slow sometimes

“Great neighborhood restaurant”

Smallish but offering great Franconian fare and very good value. Try the pork shoulder with sauerkraut and potato dumpling.

“Nice small restaurant, tries to give an "authentic" experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2012

Cosy little place, with an abundance of Nuremberg "antiques". The food is gutbuergerlich and gives a reasonable value for money. Nice location for an informal dinner with friends or colleagues.

“good, not great...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2012

We had dinjner here our first night in Nuremberg - it was good but not great and the service was good but not great. That said, the food was good and we were not rushed in eating.
