“Cheap Stop Over Hotel with Great Breakfast”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2014

If you're planning to spend a romantic few days in Nuremburg (omg who would do that?) this is not the ideal hotel for you. However, if you're looking for a quick stop over hotel with a better than average breakfast, this going to fulfill all your needs. The staff are nice, the rooms are dated, but clean, and you're a short walk to some decent places to eat.

Stayed here for two nights during Christmas season. Very nice 3 star hotel, we needed a quad and it was roomy, clean and updated. Breakfast buffet was great- fresh and huge selection. Hotel is a block outside of walled city in quiet residential area, but only 10 minute walk to Christmas market. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay here again.

With only 39 rooms, this is a friendly place for travellers and especially those who are planning to see the Nuremburg Christmas market and museums in the city. The rooms are very clean. The hotel's breakfast buffet, included in the room price, is outstanding. In fact, eat a big breakfast and you don't need to eat again until dinner. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. English is spoken by most staff.

An overall OK hotel.
We had a nice small room, though somewhat dated (the bathroom especially). The room was quiet and clean - all you need for a one-night stay. The only downside are the pillows (paper-thin).
The breakfast really is as good as all the other reviewers write - a vast selection and good quality.
The old town is literally across the street, it's as close as you can get without actually living within its walls.

The hotel is just outside the city walls, There is just one street to cross and you are there. Warm welcome, nice room and wonderful breakfast. Lavish even by German standards, there was just about every possible thing you could possibly consider eating and quite a few you wouldn't even have thought of.
Excellent value for money, especially when you consider how close to the city centre this is, would definitely stay here again.

The room was nice, big and comfortable double bed, TV, refrigerator, small desk, separate anteroom/lobby for luggage and small sofa. Bathroom very basic - shower, sink, toilet. Everything clean and in good condition. Baby bed was provided without extra cost. Breakfast was excelent, a lot of choise. The location is great (we traveled by car and we were happy to have a parking space at the hotel), few steps from the old city.

We had the room next to the elevator shaft and we could hear it every time it was in operation. But having a small child, we are not bothered with night noises anymore.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms next to the elevator shaft.

When we arrived, we got a warm and helpful reception. Checkin was quick. Then he carried our bags for us to the room, one flight up. There is an elevator. Our initial impression of the room was "oh my gd, what did we get into here?" The room is not spacious but by the next morning, we'd figured out how to make it work for us.
We grew to love it and would stay here again. The breakfast is fabulous, so many good and even healthful choices. So pleasant in the dining room too,
Also in a few days, we figured out where we really are and began to appreciate the proximity to good bus routes, U (underground) and especially the ease to walk to Old Town.
All on all, a delightful small hotel.

Room Tip: Splurge perhaps and ask for one of the larger rooms.
