“A piece of history from the 30s.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 20, 2013

It was fun to see after seeing newsreel clips and movies feturing it. I hope this helps keep something like that from happening in the future. Though the images coming out of N. Korea are quite scary.

“Need to use your imagination”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2013

Unfortunately there is not much left to see, and the tourist info boards have been heavily vandalised and are hard to read, but if you have old pictures and use your imagination, it is just about worthwhile - especially if you do the Documentation Centre too.

“A place you should visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

The Reichsparteitagsgelände is a place you should visit when you are in Nuremberg. It brings you back to Germany's dark past. It's a pity that the Zeppelinfeld is now partly used as a parking lot for trucks for the nearby expo. I think this doesn't fit. In the Reichsparteitagsgelände you can make a walking tour. You will find billboards with information at many places here. It's a good idea to combine this with a visit to the Dokuzenter.

“for WW2 history buffs”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 16, 2013

We visited the rally grounds which is about a 5 minute walk from the museum. Museum is about 10-15 minutes by tram from the train station (old town). The rally grounds has a few panels describing the history (in English and German). Not much more to see except for the bleachers and stage where Hitler made his speeches. However, this was enough for us WW2 history buffs

“A new angle on Nazi history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 13, 2013

This is a great museum that you can easily spend 2-3 hours in. I really liked how it presented a lot of information about the rise of Hitler and the Nazi party, and what it was like to be inside the Nazi party. There are a lot of great museums about the Holocaust in Germany, but I was glad that this museum focused less on the Holocaust and more on the political rise of the Nazi party. It was an interesting change of perspective for a museum.
