We have stayed here only for one night, but I can tell, this hotel certainly worth to be recommended. Small rooms but cozy and clean ones, perfect place to have a rest after hours of walk in the old-town, ......and yes, the "Altstadt" is right there close to the hotel's doorway. Tasty breakfast is served in a pleasant environment. Price versus service was in balance, so it will be a next time for sure.

We got there after a long train ride from Prague and had a little trouble finding it because it's off the beaten path. But not too far from the train station!! It is a very clean, quaint and very comfortable place to lay your head for the night!!! Shower was a little clausterphobic but an immaculate room. We would definitely stay there again. The owners are wonderful and make you feel very welcome!

Nice staff, spoke English. Parking available in their small courtyard at 8 euro per day. Room was clean and spacious. Bath large and nice. About 5 minute walk to the old town. Grocery store around the corner was convenient. Triple room and beds were comfortable. Would stay here again and recommend to a friend. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment.

This hotel was in a good location, only a short walk into the heart of Nuremburg. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and felt cozy. I would recommend hotel fackelmann for anyone.

Stayed here for 2 nights for work and found it to be a great hotel - staff went out of their way to be helpful, and the whole hotel seemed clean and comfortable. The fitness centre is basically a stepper, a weights machine or two, and a running machine - not a high-class gym - but was more than adequate for an early morning workout before leaving. My room had a fridge in it. There was free internet, but it didn't always work as it was supposed to - sometimes needed a restart. No free car park, but I never had a problem finding a space on the street within 50m or so of the hotel.

An unbelievable combination you will only discover if you are right there yourself. A supermarket straight across the street open 19 hours per day, coffee round the clock at the Central Station, 500 m from the hotel. At the same place internet and telephone facilities until midnight. A fine Tourist Office plus superb shopping gallery at hand; the underground station next door. In reception an ever friendly Ms Claudia, a non-travel related item was solved for me by Mr Lars with high marks. Look at the prices and you will grasp my enthusiasm and thankfulness. Nuremberg is surely worth an extra day, why not make it two.

This is a rather small family hotel (3*). Room sizes differ, standard and comfort rooms are large enough, the economy single rooms are smaller. We had the economy, the bathroom was with a shower, all very clean. Breakfasts offer large varieties of good food and drinks. The breakfast room never got crowded. We spent there 6 nights and cannot complain about anything. By those 6 days we probably met all the family that runs this hotel, they are very friendly and helpful. The older generation speak little English, but a good opportunity to try your German;) The younger speak good English. The location of the hotel is also great, about 2 minutes walk to the closest subway "Opernhaus" direct connection to the airport, and about 7 minutes to the railway station. City center ("Altstadt") is about 10 minutes walk, you get a small map when you come to this hotel.
The hotel also offers free wi-fi (with adverts every hour or so, you can pay to get rid of the adverts).
If you need a good hotel for a good price (about 60€ per night), this one can be highly recommended!
