"Church of Our Lady," which faces a very busy market place, features the "Männleinlaufen", a mechanical clock that highlights a seated Holy Roman Emperor with prince-electors surrounding him. At High Noon, the electors parade across the face of the clock.

Another gem of Nuremberg, the church sits to the side of the market place where the famous Christmas and Easter Markets are held, it is like no other I have seen before. The design with its pointed front steeples make it much different from other churches I have seen. Be sure to catch the animated figures that come out and dance and twirl similar to a coo-coo clock. Not sure what times it goes, be we saw it at noon. The entire square stops to look at the church, admiring the animation with what sounds like hundreds of bells going off simultaneously at the top of the hour. A must-see in Nuremberg!

This church is located in the open market. It is well worth walking around and stopping to watch the glockenspiel. There is also another set of statues in the area and a ring to turn for luck.

Famous church in Nuremberg Hauptmarkt facing the Beautiful Fountain. Probably best known for its Glockenspiel which plays at noon with an entertaining march of historical figures around the clock. Not particularly ornate inside, but some lovely Gothic leadlight windows. Worth a look.

On the floor, in a cave on the wall, lighting a candle and making a offering is an experience in this church during the holidays.
