“Worth the entry price of €5.”
Reviewed May 18, 2014

This is Durer's actual house, so that's a plus. It's not been altered much and survived the war. The audio guide which comes with the entry fee (in English) is worth using. Often they aren't as they distract from the experience, but this one helped. It's a walk up hill to the top of town, so be warned of the climb.

“great information of medieval life”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

It is the place for you to have clear insight if how life in medieval times. The place is only three floors and it is not so big, however the audio guide is very informative. It is only cost Euro 5 for 2 persons and is already include the audio guide. And do take a pic with a huge size of Albrecht Durer face (looks familiar?) :D

“A glimpse into an artist's life”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

This is a favourite place of mine in Nuernberg - I enjoy walking through the small rooms looking at furniture and paintings so delicate and so detailed that they could be mistaken for photographic images. It's a museum in a private house with all the paraphernalia of life around you. It's a good place to take children to give them an appreciation of Duerer, they will enjoy the animal pictures and the quaint little rooms in the house.

“Nice tour”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

We were pleasantly suprised with the exhibited art shown. But because of school tours it was quit busy inside.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

Albrecht Durer's house is a wonderful museum and an excellent example of Nurnberg architecture. Situated at the foot of the Imperial Castle, the house is surrounded by structures as Durer would have seen them. Entrance is 5 euros for adults and 3 euros for students. The house features a reconstructed printing press based on a design by Durer. The operator of the press is both friendly and informative and they will even give you a freshly printed woodcut! Since this museum not only highlights the history of Nurnberg, but also some of the greatest contributions to world heritage, it is an excellent stop on any itinerary.
