I love Albrecht Durer's work so visiting his house was a must see for me. Great feeling to be able to step into the same place where the artist created his masterpieces :) I would definitely recommend it

For us this one was a high lite of Nürnberg. We had booked an English speaking tour ahead of time. The guide was Mrs. Dürer dressed up in costume. Her English was excellent. She informed us of her and her husband's ,as well as professional lives. One really gets a feeling of what daily life was like for the family and the town of Nürnberg around the 1500's. We also gained an appreciation of the difficulty of obtaining materials for making inks.

Unless you have an interest in Albrecht Durer, it might be worthwhile avoiding unless you have plenty of time to kill. Audio guide is essential however you might begin wishing you hadn't bothered , as the audio is an imitation of Albrecht Durer's wife which is rather unexciting and rather monotone.

The audio guide (free with entry) brought the house to life. Loved watching the artists working in his original studio. If you like art, this is a must see.

I loved going to the Durer house. The audio guide was one of the most interesting audio guides I've used because it was narrated from the perspective of Durer's wife. They also had demonstrations of different art techniques. Just the house itself with its old kitchen and small rooms was interesting to see. The only thing that I felt was lacking was a larger store because I definitely would have bought more Durer stuff!
