Great hotel sitting among the cobbled streets and right next to the city wall. Quet location with a short walk to the main square and bus and underground connections.
Fantastic buffet breakfast.

Good location and basic amenities. In a residential neighborhood, bordering the castle. Most of the town is accessible by walk. The breakfast had plenty of choices, so never a dull day.

No cooling the rooms, have to open the windows to let cool air in - but that works just fine.

This is your classic german hotel. It has a very kitsch decoration in all areas. The room we had was cozy and super clean. The bathroom had been renovated and was very nice. It is also classic german because the king bed was in reality two singles put together and each of us had a duvet. Which resolves any duvet hoarding issues, but it's not very romantic.
The breakfast is abundant, varied and delicious. The only low note was the lack of A/C with temperatures above 25 degrees. Finally, the location is pretty great: you're just next to the City's wall and a stone throw from the city's fortress and, of course, A. Duerer's house.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms above the first floor (erdgeschoss).

We spent two nights after our cruise that ended in Nuremberg. The entire hotel was sparkling clean and our room on the 3rd floor was cozy and decorated nicely. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower was just as we expected. The breakfast was top notch and included all the nice German touches. They offered coffee in to go cups in the morning hours and apples for a snack in the afternoon. The hotel has no air-conditioning and we needed it even in April. Even though the window opens there was no breeze so you are pre-warned. They charge for internet and considering the room rates are so high I feel they should have included this feature. There are lots of restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

Fine for a one night stay. Staff costumes are traditional and made me smile. Rooms look like they haven't been decorated for about 25 years. Location is not right in the centre of the city. Breakfast room is an odd shape so many diners are sitting in the lobby. Okay, but quite expensive for the price and a bit lacking in facilities.

We were here in September 2010 - now there are new owners running this hotel.
The rooms have been usefully freshened up, and parking while still good , is now more secure due to a closed garage door.
The breakfast is just as good as before , with a wide choice of items.
I will continue to use this hotel - it is very well placed for the City.

This hotel is well located, near the tourist attractions and quite quiet. Parking tight but ok. Breakfast was standard to good. Room was very clean, standard furniture. Bed was comfortable. Prices in the minibar were acceptable. Service at check-in was friendly and efficient, but I was not too pleased with the service at check-out. Furthermore, my luggage was to be stored behind the desk, but when I returned in the late afternoon, I found it laying just next to the counter, where anyone could have taken it (as I did, without any control). Would have been safer to leave my luggage in the car.
Besides this, I was pleased with the hotel for a business trip. I would pay a bit more for a better hotel when on vacation.
