“Ok.. Typical European Hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2014

Well we stayed in this hotel for six nights while attending the Interzoo Show this year. Not fancy... But adequate

Pros: I must say the staff were very friendly and helpful no complaints in that department at all.
The room was clean and fairly modern. Super location, only couple minutes from the U Line train station, the Weiser Term Stop, never busy there great to get on when traveling to Messe. The breakfast room was cheap enough 10 Euros per person but it was a bit boring as it need changed from day to day and the only hot food was scrambled eggs.

Cons: although the Wifi was free it was fairly crappy, you constantly had to log in and it only allowed 100mb over a period. Not good for FaceTime and Skype, ok for email etc. no on site restaurants, or vending machines although only a minutes walk to many restaurants etc. expensive, but normal for this area I think.

Room Tip: Ask for the backside of the hotel, closer to the center, rooms 109,110 were very hot as they were ab...

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights on a single room for a business trip I had in Nuremberg.
The good things are the location which is less than 10 minutes walk to the city center and the hotel exterior and view.
Other than that I think it was pretty average and the price was a bit much for what you get in return.
Breakfast cost additional 10 euro which I think was too much.
The staff was nice and tried to help with any question.
All & all, my stay was pleasant and it was easy to get to the center and see the city from the hotel's location but I think that for the same price you might be able to find something better.

Room Tip: I think the breakfast can be skipped

Stayed here for Christmas Market's , the hotel was what we expected for it's rating . We had standard rooms overlooking the courtyard , they we're clean not too small and the shower room was good too . I would recommend to stay,. The breakfast was very good and substantial enough to set you up for the day . It took approximately 10 min's to the centre , plenty of restaurants / shops nearby. The staff in the hotel couldn't have been more helpful with advice on trams , bus , where to get them and even got the 2 day pass at the reception , even looking up opening times for things we wanted to see.

Great location in a beautiful city. The hotel itself is a bit dated, yet clean. There is a newer part, you might want to ask to stay there. Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Recommend this place.

The location is minutes away walking from the major attractions. Germanique Museum, Opera House and of course the Christmas markets. The hotel is located next to the medieval wall, very calm. The rooms are standard size, the bathrooms ver ymodern a,d practical.

Room Tip: If by car, ask for a space to be reserved for you in the inner court yard, or arrive early :-)

Room ok, clean and comfortable. pillow was a bit on the flat side, despite looking fluffy.
Strange smell in the hotel hall way area, owing to the Japanese eatery next door, however this did not affect the room.
Strange set up with the bathroom, in that the bathroom door was frosted glass, that did not leave toomuch to the imagination (if you get my drift), so probably not ideal if you are trying to impress a new beau.......... Also the light was on a movement sensor, which if you stuck your arm out of bed and the bathroom doors were open, then suddently the whole place was illuminated (not good at 3am).
Location wise it was fine, yes the red light district was nearby, but we really were not bothered by this.
Also read that complaints that the staff were rude, well as a non German speaking English couple, we found the staff to be very helpful and informative. Slight probllem at checkout, but this was quickly resolved.
Christmas markets ok, although a bit repetitive, and we highly recomend a walk around the walls, and a trip to the rally site (very interesting)

Room Tip: Pay a bit more

Stayed here for three nights in oct 2013. Was on a business trip and visiting a fair. Arrived after midnight but friendly staff waiting and no issue to get a drink in lobby/reception area. Simple but good breakfast, everything you'd want is there.
