Excellent accommodation, very well appointed rooms. Effiecient service. Only disadvantage is that it is away from the city centre. Though the train station is closeby.

Very clean with all basic amenities.

Room Tip: Buy at train pass from the tourist office at the main station before you come to this hotel, it is cheap & convienient.

We stayed 4 nights in a double economy apartment and we were surprised with the spaciousness of the "economy" room compared with other apartment hotels we had previously stayed; and for quite a reasonable tariff. The apartment had separate living area, bedroom, bathroom and (very small) kitchen so we were able to enjoy comfortable self-catering accommodation. Unfortunately only one chair was provided which was not conducive to dining at the fixed table area and tended to use the sofa at meal time. Was a little disappointed with the limited free and expensive pay wifi system available. Our apartment fronted the main street however the double glazing made the room surprisingly quiet. Two supermarkets are conveniently located just up the street and the underground train station a short walk. The staff were friendly and helpful providing good local travel tips. Day tickets for the public transport system can be purchased at reception which enabled us to travel extensively within the Nuremberg environs as soon as we arrived. We visited Nuremberg particularly for the christmas markets and the arrival of snow on the first night made our stay a memorable experience. Highly recommend Maximilian hotel and would stay again if returning to beautiful Nuremberg.

I continue to return to the hotel for a variety of reasons. The location is in walking distance to the city and has access to a U Bahn stop. There are several super markets in walking distance and it is very easy to shop there.

The staff is helpful and the rooms are usually clean and have enough space. The rooms offer plenty of storage opportunities. There is sufficient internet access in the room (fee).

All rooms come with a small kitchen unit, refrigerator (two bottles of beer and water included every day), and dishes. Great if you like to eat some of the local food in your room.

The breakfast buffet is above average, has a great selection, and offers warm and cold items. The bread options are plentyful and the pastries are always fresh. You should go to breakfast early to have enough time; it will get crowded after 7am.

There are several dinner options in walking distance to the hotel. One of the ones I enjoy is the "Kartoffel", which is just around the corner.

The hotel is a great choice.

We arrived Friday morning 21st Dec with our luggage expecting to drop off , but were pleasantly surprised when handed the keys to our room. Our room was an apartment with everything you could want for 3 adults and more, comfortable beds and room. We had booked Breakfast but on finding we had a small kitchenet I cancelled. Our daughter, 17yrs old, was not all well and on our departure date they allowed us to stay in the room untill late afternoon so she could sleep without being disturbed. Can not fault the staff at all, will definately return, they really helped make our stay. only complaint, no english tv except News, would be nice for some TV movies to be in English! Location great, food great, Xmas markets amazing :-)

We stayed here recently for the Christmas markets. It's 5 minutes from Gostenhof metro, 10 from Plarrer (edge of old town). We had a suite with an extra bedroom on the side for our kids, and a loft for us on the upper level. Worked great for our family of four.

My only complaint is the night we arrived there was only one receptionist on duty, and it took 30 minutes for him to process everyone in front of us and us to get our room key. Always polite, but they could have used extra staff at times. Internet is chargeable now, but apparently that changes in the new year (2013).
