“No Water in this Fountain and a Huge Gate Keeps you From Getting Close”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

You stumble upon this fountain as you enter the Market Place. It makes for a nice picture as the details are quite impressive, but there is a huge gate that surrounds the "fountain" making it quite difficult to take pictures of the entire structure. Overall, if doing the walking tour of Nuremberg or just wandering around the city, it is worth a quick stop for a picture then quickly move on.

“19 meter fountain with no running water. Originally was erected around 1385”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

Located in Hauptmarkt. One of natable attration in Hauptmakt with Frauenkirche, making picturesque setting. Schoner Brunnen knwon as Beautiful Fountain was replaced with replica in 1912. Pieces of original fountain is in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum. Those who turne the ring of fountain would be lucky in love and people must turned 360 degrees three times for their good fortune.
