“Perfect location”
Reviewed December 27, 2009

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in December. The location is perfect; it is immediately in front of you when exiting the Underground train station and across the road from the tourist information office. The rooms are a little small but the whole hotel was immaculately presented and the breakfast was plentiful with a good choice both hot and cold dishes. It is next to a charming courtyard selling good quality handmade crafts within the old city walls. There is no restaurant or bar but it is situated right on a main street with plenty of choice for eating and drinking right on your doorstep. The Christmas markets were a pleasant 10 minute walk away. Nuremberg was a wonderful city to visit especially at Christmas with both individual shops, department stores and high end retail all withinn easy walking distance.

Wonderful! Rooms are modern, clean and well appointed. A bit small, but well laid out, efficient and quiet. Breakfast room, service and buffet are fabulous. Couldn't be in a better location! Located inside the walled old city, but just inside, so it's a quick 5 min. walk under the street via a pedestrian tunnel from the train station. There's an Irish pub next door and a German beerhaus/restaurant on the other side. Walk to the x-mas markets, shops and all the sites. A bit of a walk to the Imperial Castle, but very do-able. Service is fantastic and I would highly recommend.

I found this hotel on the net and stayed 4 nights while visiting my son who didn't have room for me in his apartment! The hotel is situated directly across from the main train station. My room was to the front of the building but noise from the station wasn't a problem. There's also a tram stop, Tourist Information Centre and a Lidl/Aldi market nearby. The Old City Walls are right beside the hotel and when you pass through into the older quarter there are lots of little shops selling various local crafts, local gingerbread and the famous Sausage & Bratwurst. The main shopping/restaurant area is just around the corner from the hotel.
The rooms are clean and spacious with TV, mini fridge and spotless en-suite. The girls on reception couldn't have been more helpful and have excellent English which was brilliant considering my strangled attempts at German!! Breakfasts come with plentiful supplies of meats, cheeses, breads etc. and there's also a cooked option.
This is a hotel I'd stay at again and would happily recommend it.

I have been to Nuremberg more than 5 times both for business and leisure, each time in a a different hotel. I have spent 4 nights in this hotel. It is one of the best hotels in the city, close to everywhere (main station, shops, old city, museums...). Also good for the money. If you are unfamiliar with the german hotel room standards, you may find the rooms a bit small. Definitely highly recommended for location and price.

This is a great hotel, It is very conveniently located across from the main train station, so no taxi is needed to reach it. It is at the beginning of the various pedestrian streets in the old town. You can walk anywhere with ease. There are plenty of restaurants and many very nice stores nearby. The hotel's public areas and breakfast room are very attractive. We had one of the "comfort" level rooms, which is fairly large, has a sofa, an extra chair, coffee table, large desk and a chair, free DSL Internet (not all rooms have Internet access) and a corner bay window. It was a very attractive room. Although there is little traffic in front of the hotel because the pedestria area starts a short distance away, there is lots of pedestrian traffic. On Friday and Saturday nights the noise from the revelers outside goes on until very late at night can be bothersome. You might want to request a room at the back of the hotel, although I don't believe there are any comfort level rooms there. The breakfast buffet, which also includes some hot items, was one of the best I've ever seen. I can't imagine what more could have been added to it. The price was reasonable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this very interesting and attractive city.

Location is perfect next to the pedestrian walk to the Hauptbahnhof, across the street from the tourist bureau, and next to an area of quaint shops and cafes. The tram across the street will take you around to the north side of town to the Castle. Museums are all in walking distance. Rooms are clean and the staff very helpful. Breakfast is good and well set out. Plenty of room for our family of 3. Major shopping just down the street
