Spartan but clean. Radiators located beneath windows so choose whether you prefer warmth or privacy as heat remains behind heavy curtains when drawn. As noted elsewhere, beds are really narrow. Not for tall folks, either. More like a futon. Sauna was out of commission due to electrical issues. Staff not knowledgeable about local restaurants, or maybe just not inclined to share info.

So if you need basic digs for a couple of nights go for it.

This hotel was clean and comfortable, and our room quite large. It was wonderful to have use of the sauna, though it only has room for two to use it properly. The staff was friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. That said, I would not want to stay here if the hotel were at all full because the walls seem to be paper thin. Luckily we did not have neighbors, having arrived at the end of a trade fair. We parked right across the street without problems. While a good hotel, it is certainly not four star.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing the courtyard and with empty neighboring rooms.

We booked this hotel as a last minute since all other 4 stars were full due to an expk event. All previous comments about the stars are totally valid. Hotel does not come close to 4 stars. 2.5 most if even. Is a Russian chain, not sure if they use Russian standards to assign rating! Lobby is tiny with a constant smell of greasy food and sauerkraut. Litterally! Rooms clean ok-would not expect less. Beds ok but small even for a single, pillows as thick as a sheet of paper. Location is ok if you are mobile. Is nice walk to town via castle. Indeed a bit hilly coming back but nice walk.
Unless if you really have to, don't fall in this trap. Totally overpriced and overrated.

We were passing through Nuremberg and stayed one night to check out town attractions. Though not really a 4-star hotel (more like 3 and a half), it has a very good price quality ratio. Good-sized rooms, beds are OK, but pillows are very thin. Very good water pressure in the shower. Hotel charges extra 10 EUR per night for an underground parking, and it is next to impossible to find a street parking in this part of the town, if you arrive late.

We were only passing through Nuremberg on our way south and stayed one night to visit the Christmas Market and look around the town.
The hotel is a short walk from the castle and 15 minutes from the town centre.
When we arrived the reception staff were businesslike but not friendly. This is how I would describe our room too. It was a good size and clean with a spotless bathroom. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable.
We didnt bother with breakfast as the breakfast room was small and full.
The price was OK but talking to other guests we found that they had secured a much better deal via e-bay.

We were unfortunately stranded in Nuremberg following our flight cancellation and booked this hotel through the airport internet via bookings.com, we were encouraged by the price (as we thought the cost of 3 rooms for 8 travellers was going to be astronomical at such short notice) at 59 euros per room for a '4 star' hotel near the castle we began to look forward to our stay and make the most of our unexpectedly prolonged holiday in Germany.

On arrival the hotel does lack any 'wow' factor that other 4 star hotels may posess. The reception is small (in fact barely room for us all, with 7 suitcases and 3 snowboards!) with no frills but the receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly.

Our room was a suite to accomadate 2 of our children and the seperate room for us was a welcome retreat! the bathroom was beautifully clean and well equiped. there was a mini bar and complimentary mineral water in our room. But no coffee making facilities. There was also a very shabby and unnecessary covered balcony area in much need of some TLC, with a very sad looking lone wicker chair and peeling paint work!

The location of the Hotel is not bad, it is just a 5 minute walk from the old town and castle, it is however a 20 minute walk (steep downhill) to get to the town square with its shops and restaurants.

Overall the hotel served its purpose for the unexpected change in our travel plans, with reasonable rates and comfortable, if not 4 star rooms. Worth a stay for one night only, at a special rate but not at the hotels advertised rates!

Though not really a 4-star hotel (more like 3 and a half), it has a very good price quality ratio. Nice place to stay, about 10min walk to the city center.
The breakfast for 15eur is quite expensive - avoid it and go instead to the bar café Ruhestörung, which is on the way to the city center.
