“Too touristy to have a Bavarian experience”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 12, 2012

I had dinner here and found the meal too bland. Nothing special at all, very simple presentation. Location is convient, close to Marienplatz. We only had a beer and a main course (schnitzel and tafelspitz (overcooked slices of beef).

I would not visit again - I think the location calls for a bit more.

“A Classic Merenda”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

Try the Old Style Service in this Classic Bayern Venue. The Weiss Wurst with Mild Mustard, Potatoes Salad and Weiss Bier is a MUST. Do not forget LeberKase and the lovely Strudels. A MUST to TASTE if you visit Munich

“Sumptuous Traditional German Cuisine”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2012

Excellent traditional German food - we had a one dish which was suckling pig meat : worth trying. The ambience is also something to experience : although several Asian tourists were there, it was otherwise clearly a place for the Bavarians to be and be seen.

“Bavarian breakfast, the place.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

We had a traditional Bavarian weisswurst breakfast and took along visitors from asia with a couple of young kids as well.

We sat in the covered, central courtyard very well laid out and spacious.

The quality of the food and service was excellent and friendly. The weissbier was also very fresh and perfect temperature.

Not to be missed, recommended and not just for locals.

“Traditional German Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2012 via mobile

This place is located in the Altstadt of Munich. A huge restaurant with an outdoor terrace, an inside beergarten and lots of other possibilities to eat inside. The food is traditional German: wurst, sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. The wurstelplatte contains 5 different sausages with mashed potatoes, and mustard. nicely grilled and tastefull. The food is not cheap, but the meals are served very quick. I would recommend this place for real traditional German food, but do not expect haute cuisine.
