Arrived here with a colleague, and were shown to a table by a waitress who was utterly indifferent to our arrival, and she subsequently gave me a menu while looking in the other direction. There were two others working in the restaurant, and they too gave the impression that diners were an annoyance, avoiding eye contact at all costs; within minutes, my colleague and I decided that it was a waste of time staying here, so paid for the drinks and left, again to total indifference. The atmosphere in this place is lousy...and we have been to hundreds of restaurants all over the world. There were a few other tables occupied, and it seemed that other diners were also cowed by the waiters, little laughter or enjoyment noticeable. We returned to Munich restaurant Halali, superb food, and attentive and friendly service. Just goes to show--first impressions are vital!!
