We booked our tour to Dachau based on the many, many positive reviews of Alun on Trip Advisor, and he didn’t disappoint. Alun is engaging, insightful and full of information that would take hours to research on your own. His tour offer a great balance between Alun’s insights and time spent on your own to explore and reflect on the amazing and sobering events that took place there. His tour was simply outstanding!

Had a great time with Alun, he is extremely knowledgeable and has a very refined and finely tuned schedule that makes sure you get the most into the time!

Our family of 4 (including 2 teens) from the US enjoyed our experience with Alun while visiting Dachau. He helped us understand what the experience was like for the prisioners in a respectful way.

Our group tour included our family and two other people so it was 6 total.

I will be honest - do you need a guide- NO. Dachau offers a good video presentation and also a museum where you can learn about the history of WWII and the work/concentration camps. In addition, the transportation to Dachau from the center of Munich isn't that hard to figure out. With that said, I think touring with Alun was money well spent as he was informative, answered all of our questions, and also got us there with no drama.
