Outside, a classic Munich beer garden, on the grounds of Schloss Fürstenried, with a beautiful park all around. Inside, two elegant rooms. For those with kids, a pretty nice play area.
The restaurant was a tip from a friend; we don't live in Munich, and it's fairly far from city center. But it was easy to reach on our way to Autobahn A8 towards Stuttgart.
I've only been to the restaurant part--once inside, once outside. The beer garden, we've been assured by our friends, has some of the best beer garden staples, all made right on the premises. The restaurant is not particularly expensive (main courses were AFAIR between 12 and 20 Euro), but the quality of the food is excellent. On one of my visits, I had some of the best lamb I've had recently. On another, I had a truly excellent steak (which is not exactly typical of Germany). Other members of our group had calf liver, asparagus with pork medallions, duck--and everybody said it was excellent.
They have a good selection of draft beer; there's also a rather extensive wine menu, but we didn't try any.
