“Food Heaven”

Dallmayr is the place to see when visiting Munich. The variety of food is outstanding. Whether you enjoy lobster, take a look of the mouthwatering cakes and sweets or fresh fruits. The restaurant is located on the first floor and is mainly for people who want to try the extraordinary.

“Excellent upstairs restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2014

About one block away from the Glockenspiel. (As you are facing the Glockenspiel in the middle of City Center, go to the right side and proceed down the block; Restaurant is upstairs, on the right hand side of the street, facing a small city park). Desserts a specialty; but we went for lunch as well and were not disappointed. The main floor has lots of gift items.

“A Must on a Munich Tour”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2014 via mobile

A visit to Dallmayr's is a must on any tour of Europe. One item that jumped out at me was the meat. They had a tiny piece of tenderloin, with practically no marbling--a grade of choice would be generous, and yet the price was similar to what I pay for a whole USDA Prime tenderloin at Costco.

My mother and I each got a mousse and ate it in the park across the street.

“one of the best chocolates and other treats”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2014

Dallmayr as a store and cafe/shop is worth the visit. Excellent selections to try and to garner as gifts for family and friends. Dallmayr has a diverse selection of chocolate treats and the like. Totally worth it.

“The Harrod's of Munich”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2014

Gourmet food on offer both in the shop downstairs and the restaurant up above. This place is always hopping. There is no outdoor seating, but if you're lucky enough to get a window seat upstairs, you can overlook one of the few green spaces in the old town area. It's a bit on the pricey side and not conducive to bringing small children (as there are large crowds and they could get lost in the mix).
