My husband and I stayed at Fleming's Hotel Munich for three nights on our trip to Europe. We chose it because it reviewed well, and we wanted something comfortable yet very close to the main train station, as we were arriving late at night via train and spending two of our three days in Munich taking day trips to nearby sights (Dachau one day, Neuschwanstein/Hohenschwangau the other). This hotel fit the bill perfectly.

It's hard to find a location closer to the main train station. Just cross the street and it's one block over. You can see the sign and building clearly from right outside the train station. 5 minute walk max, and that's including waiting to cross at red lights. The staff spoke perfect English, and it was almost hard to believe we were really in Germany. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and modern. We requested a room facing away from the street and got that, and had no problems with noise. One important thing to realize, which other reviewers have mentioned, is that the shower is surrounded by glass and the person showering is easily seen from the hotel room. It is not in the bathroom with the toilet. Perfectly fine for a married couple, but maybe not for friends or business travelers. Another quirk is that you have to have your room key in the slot by the door for the lights to work, which I believe is there to save energy. The hotel also held our luggage hassle-free the day we checked out, which we picked up right before our night train out of Munich.

The hotel also has free wireless internet, which was a must have when we were looking for hotels. When you check in, they give you a code to type in to a web browser which is good for 10 hours of internet use. Once that is used up, they said we could just come down and get another code, but we didn't have to do that since we were only there three nights. We also had a breakfast buffet included with our room rate. The buffet was pretty good and very complete, offering everything from pastries and toast to meat slices and salmon to fruit to cereal, and different kinds of fruit juice. Coffee and eggs/bacon are also available upon request.

I honestly can't say I have any complaints about this hotel. Probably my only "complaint" is that it is a typical hotel. We mostly went for bed and breakfast type places on our trip to Europe, which had a more cultural/personal style that we enjoyed, especially while being in a different continent and culture. Fleming's was very much a standard hotel and pretty much felt like being in the US, but we knew and understood that when we booked this hotel.

Very comfortable bed, air-conditioner, great location near the main station, 20 minutes from Marienplatz and 10 minutes from Augustiner Beer Garden, great (English Speaking) staff. They happily printed our boarding passes for our flight and stored our luggage while we toured the town. The shower was superb – a strong flow of hot water and the glass walls added to the illusion of space in the room. Add to this one of the best breakfasts I eat in a week in Germany and free WiFi in the room this place has it all.

Upon arrival the staff were genuinely pleasant with a great sense of humour. They were extremely helpful and made you feel really welcome and all spoke fluent English. We stayed in a superior double room and it was a bonus to find that it included a complimentary mini bar and free movies. It was lovely and clean. The shower took some getting use to because it's all glass but otherwise it was brilliant. Food in the restaurant was to die for and very reasonably priced again with excellent service. The secure car parking at 16 euros per day was well worth the money, rather than struggling to find a space in the city. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a really nice hotel near the main train station in Munich. It is very modern and chic in style with large rooms, by european standards. We were able to unpack and move around the room with no trouble. There was a mini-bar which we did not use. There was free wi-fi and free breakfast as well. The breakfast was very good and included fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, salmon, variety of breads and cereals and eggs cooked to order with ham or bacon. We also ate several times at their restaurant which was good and reasonably priced. The only thing about the room which did not bother us, but it might bother some people is that the shower and vanity are right in the room. The commode is in its own closet, but the rest is right there by the bed. Also, the lighting is a bit dim overall in the room, but it was not a huge problem. The room was immaculate and very quiet while we were sleeping. We took a couple of day trips by train while we were there, and it was wonderful being so close to the train station. We also did the two day ticket for the double decker hop-on, hop-off tourist bus which proved to be a good value. I will definitely stay here again should I return to Munich.

I stayed here for a couple of weeks in December for a business training. The hotel overall was pretty good, the room functional with everything included. The bathroom and shower is see through, so you should not share with a colleague.

Breakfast each morning was fine, nothing special. The bar in the evening is nice, even though rather quiet.
