For all nature-lovers he Botanical is a great option for a stroll all-year around. The garden is well organised with a large variety and collection of plants, trees and flowers. Entry fee is moderate and there are quite a lot of tours and exhibitions. In winter for entrance is free for the outdoor grounds but the greenhouses are home to the yearly tropical butterfly exhibition- well worth visiting!
The cafe can be easily skipped, it's just expensive and there is really nothing special about it. Personally I love strolling the outdoor grounds , which is beautiful anytime and can easily combined with visiting Nymphenburger Park that neighbours the Botanical Garden

There is so much to see we spent nearly five hours here, the glass houses are spectacular.

Credit cards are not accepted for entrance shop or restaurant so have cash

We thought it was well organised, with a large variety and collection of all types of plants, trees and flowers.

While it was cool in November and obviously a bit green, it's definitely on our list to return to next time in Munich. Must be brautiful in the spring / summer months.

Only thing is the cafe; we found it very pricey - a hot chocolate, a cappuccino & 2 pieces of cake = €15.60 !!!
