The room was clean if spartan. This was a typical Ibis hotel--few amenities, small rooms, especially small bathroom. It was adequate our our two-night stay. The hotel is not convenient to much. The dining area is rather small and right off the lobby. Food was fine. They didn't offer many options for breakfast, but the food was fine.More

We stayed at this hotel on the last night of our bus tour and thank god that it's only 1 night. Like others said, the room was very small, with 3 people sharing, there's no room for anything. There's no luggage stand provided and not even one towel! We had to call to request them. The bathroom smelled of urine and there were stains on the door. I don't even know if they cleaned the room before handing it to us. Carpet was stained and filthy. The closet was tiny with only 3 hangers. We arrived very late at the hotel and had to leave early the next day, so we didn't bother to file any complaints. So I'm writing this review to reflect my experience at this hotel. I definitely will not recommend it.
I would like to offer my sincere apologies for the problems regarding the house-keeping. That is unacceptable and below our standards. Please rest assured that I have already looked into this and taken steps - and within my team I will make sure that negative experiences are a rare exception in the future. It was Octoberfest time of year, so accommodation was at a premium. However the IBIS hotel in Schwabing had rooms available and a train ride gets you to the City Centre.
IBIS hotels are built to a standard formula. Rooms are adequate in size and clean - you don't really need a lot more. They are not designed for 2 weeks vacation, I'd imagine most of their business is 1 to 3 nights.
The restaurant has limited choice as you'd expect but was surprisingly good. What it did, it did well. Breakfast was buffet style and again catered for all tastes.
So if you want good standard accommodation at a fair price, this IBIS will meet your needs.

Very cozy and clean rooms. Service was very friendly. One downside is the location since you need to walk for 10 mins to get to the nearest train station but walking was such pleasant experience in Munich so it was no problem.

Stayed here as part of a tour group. Very small room for 3 people. Had to put your suitcases on the floor and climb over them to get into bed or out the door. The very small single cupboard at the corner of the fold out bed only had enough space to hang up 3 coats and a few shelves to put things on. The bathroom was also small and basically only had a bath mat, bath towels, toilet paper and dispenser soap. Not even facial tissues or a hand towel. Located a fair way away from the city centre. A supermarket and nice Asian restaurant are about 500m walk away.
Hotel breakfast and 1 tour included dinner were ok.

Convenient to corporate offices, but not much else. Train is a 10-minute walk. Room is small, but if all you is to sleep it works. Would only recommend this location if you have a business meeting nearby.
