Description: Organic Ristorante (no pizza) and "cucina rustica" (homestyle cooking) in the heart of Munich's Schwabing district. We cook - from scratch - traditional and authentic Italian food with fresh organic, regional products from simple and forgotten to artful and zeitgeisty. Sit back by the open fireplace and enjoy our meals in a rustic-casual but bright, appealing atmosphere with wood beams resembling an old Italian oil mill. Our fresh pasta is artisanally made on the spot. We renounce the use of artificial flavorings, additives or preservatives. Organic meats from Bavaria & Austria. We're a veggie & vegan friendly establishment and also offer varying fish dishes. Weekly seasonal menu. Quiet street patio. Independent family business established since October 2012. Spoken languages: German, Italian, English.

The Ro e Buni is a place where you really can taste the difference. Almost all ingredients are of organic origin, we had soup, salad, fish and meat and last not least one of the best tiramisus ever and so everybody was happy. And by the way, it tasted italian like in Bologna or Ravenna.

Dinner for two. I booked a table for 20:30 on a Thursday. The room was quite empty but nice atmosphere. The style is not completely Italian and the waitress didn't welcome us in Italian either. Nobody is Italian there (maybe in the kitchen? I didn't check) therefore I was a little worried at the beginning: hoi hoi another fake! I thought. Ok let's try.
We ordered piadina and Parma ham. These are very simple products but basic for authenticity. I was disappointed seeing the piadina coming in a basket...cut in slices! I always have it as a whole thin disk! No big pain, because it was good (even if a little thick) and the ham was excellent.
After this first good surprise we went for tagliatelle al Ragu and tagliatelle agli scampi. The former was excellent. Taste was absolutely authentic, natural, fresh and strong enough even without any taste enhancer (so they declare on the introduction in the menu). The latter (a less classic variation of tagliatelle with prawns) was also quite delicious. The pasta itself ( the dough I mean) was perfect. Neither too soft or sticky, nor too hard or raw. Just right. I am satisfied. I guess they learned very well their lesson. They can do it. Even if they were not Italians it doesn't matter. A little remark: table cloth is important in an Italian restaurant. They should have it. They didn't.

Dear customer,

it means a lot to be praised by an Italian who are especially demanding and critical at home and abroad when it comes about interpretation and performance of their food . The kitchen staff is Romanian and Italian, hence the kitchen language is Italian. We have changed the piadina meantime but we refuse to use tablecloths, we do have cloth napkins though.
We'd love to welcome you again anytime.

Best wishes
Hostaria Rò E Bunì
