Dinner for two. I booked a table for 20:30 on a Thursday. The room was quite empty but nice atmosphere. The style is not completely Italian and the waitress didn't welcome us in Italian either. Nobody is Italian there (maybe in the kitchen? I didn't check) therefore I was a little worried at the beginning: hoi hoi another fake! I thought. Ok let's try.
We ordered piadina and Parma ham. These are very simple products but basic for authenticity. I was disappointed seeing the piadina coming in a basket...cut in slices! I always have it as a whole thin disk! No big pain, because it was good (even if a little thick) and the ham was excellent.
After this first good surprise we went for tagliatelle al Ragu and tagliatelle agli scampi. The former was excellent. Taste was absolutely authentic, natural, fresh and strong enough even without any taste enhancer (so they declare on the introduction in the menu). The latter (a less classic variation of tagliatelle with prawns) was also quite delicious. The pasta itself ( the dough I mean) was perfect. Neither too soft or sticky, nor too hard or raw. Just right. I am satisfied. I guess they learned very well their lesson. They can do it. Even if they were not Italians it doesn't matter. A little remark: table cloth is important in an Italian restaurant. They should have it. They didn't.
