Oz gave a group of 13 young guys a superb tour of Munich, featuring various stops across the city to try some of the local beers and schnapps, as well as a few food stops allowing us to try the Bavarian cuisine.

The tour itself was well structured, full of interesting knowledge, told in an amusing yet informative way and I imagine tailored to suit his audience ( 13 men in Munich to celebrate a 30th birthday).

I would recommend this tour to anyone, of any age!

This was the second time I went on the tour, the first time being in 2011, first on a stag do and this time on a friend's 30th birthday. Both times the tour was pitched excellently for the group's interests, covering great swathes of history and culture.
Nothing has been lost in the intervening years and the quality of the tour was outstanding both times.
Oz consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone on the tour enjoys it and receives the full Munich experience.

My husband and I took the city immersion tour with Oz today. His passion for his city and love of history were impressive. It is obvious that he has spent much time gathering information, combining what appear to be disparate facts into a cohesive narrative that explains how the cities past relates to the present, and the similarities that all great cities have with each other. As a student of politics, his explanations of Germany's current political climate were most interesting. We made several food stops on the tour, along with beer and schnapps. After a 4 hour tour Oz even volunteered to join us for a beer, but by then I needed a nap!! We highly recommend joining Oz for one of his tours, and if you are a history fan the immersion tour is perfect. And yes Oz, I DO remember that the Bavarian flag is white and blue, NOT blue and white😂.

Ozzy provided us a first hand experience and introduced us to the culture within the Bavarian society. There were a couple of key things that he drilled into his tour such as the fact that the flag was white and blue not blue and white or that Bavaria is its own state. He illustrated the pride within Bavaria and allowed us to see the history associated with it. If you are a WWII history fan, he does touch on it here and there, but does not go into great detail on it due to the fact that Munich has been trying for a long time to disassociate itself from that part of history and to create a newer and more positive image.

Additionally, Ozzy did continue to hang out with us after our tour time had ended in order to show us more of Munich and help us catch the correct subway to our next event, which was very helpful to us. There are not subways in Nebraska, and they were a bit confusing with the validation process. We were able to walk though and get to our next destination without a hitch.

Ozzy then contacted my mother in law in the following days because we had said the we would be staying in Munich. He wanted to make sure all was going well and that we did not have any additional questions or concerns about our stay within the city.

During the tour, I talked to Ozzy and he said the he also does shopping tours in which he will ask for a list of all of the shops that you want to go to and will help to make sure that you have an appointment if you need on and will walk you through in a way that is efficient for your day.

I would say this should be an adult only tour.

Thank you for your review. We work, beyond the paid only elements of our tours, to ensure that our guests feel supported to be able to have an easy and enjoyable experience in Munich.

The open group City Immersion Tour within the pedestrian zone, that your family group organizer registered you to join, was created for guests with diverse interests to concisely experience a broad spectrum of Munich life (e.g. Bavarian & German History, Culture, Food & Beverage, Street-smarts, etc.), and get their bearings quickly, including the use of landmarks. The tour path was also designed for guests to efficiently visit key Nazi historical sites (e.g. the birth place of the Nazi Party, the Beer Hall Putsch, the swearing in grounds of the SS, etc.), as well as memorial locations to learn about WWII and the rise of the Nazi Party.

For guests who then request a focused WWII/Nazi History, including Dachau, we offer that as a select private tour. As all important Nazi history in Munich is not within the pedestrian zone only, that tour must cover a wider Munich City area, outside of the pedestrian zone of the old city. (E.g. Dachau, Königsplatz, Rosenheimer Platz, Prinzregenten Platz, etc.). Therefore, transportation use is required.

School and scout groups (under 25s) were our demographic, exclusively, within our first 8 years of giving tours, starting back in 2006. These guests recommended we open and expand our tours to include their parents, which we did in 2014, even as we continue to tour these youth groups. Our tour is not scripted and so the level and feel of each tour conversation is adjusted according to the dynamic, education level, etc., of each group – from youth hostel to hotel - without losing the Munich feeling. As all members of the tour group you joined were adult married couples, I am happy that the adjustment of the conversation catered accordingly, although not a restriction to our scope.

The history of a country cannot be understood until you understand the culture that did it. That is the intent behind our City Immersion Tour, which was designed as the foundation tour of all of our tours. From this foundation, you can then build to add a focused Third Reich/Dachau Tour. However, you could also add a Beer & Schnapps Tour, Neuschwanstein Tour and even a Shopping Tour - this you know - based on your preferences. All these subject areas are covered within the open group City Immersion Tour.
