Ozzie's tour of Munich isn't just a tour about the city's culture, history, and lifestyle but also about the local community's attitude towards life and beyond. He really makes sure you are immersed in the amazing city without ever feeling didactic. By the end of it, Ozzie becomes a local friend.
I first toured with him when I backpacked through Europe in 2012. During that visit, I took a lot of walking tours. However, this one stood out far above and beyond. Because I enjoyed it so much, 5 years later I came back with my fiancé. Although, the trip was originally supposed to be just in The U.K., I insisted that we go see Ozzie and tour Munich.
We started with a traditional walk through history and a traditional meal at the farmers market. He takes you through several important historical markers and reference points so you are oriented and can easily navigate the city by the end of the tour. The whole time he draws parallels to present day current affairs to all the rich historical facts of Bavaria and Munich. This really helps one remember all the facts and keeps everyone fully engaged.
My fiancé shared the same feeling as I did about this city and Ozzie by the end of the tour. I was not the only one who felt this way about Ozzie, another couple joined our tour this time who had toured with him back in 2009. He is caring, knowledgeable, and a genuinely good human being.
I suggest anyone coming to this city to start with OzTourMunich. A good tour at the beginning really helps you understand and enjoy a city much more than just trying it by yourself from the beginning.
