Very basic hotel with all the essentials. I stayed here on business and what else do you need, clean room with a bed, desk and nice shower! Its by no way luxurious and isn't close to many amenities, but you get what you pay for.

Its got a great bar and the food in the restaurant is fantastic, very highly recommended.

Out in the middle of nowhere, rooms are TINY. Do not stay here if you want to go to Munich at all. Train is a 15 minute walk and is one of the last stops

A pity that the location of this hotel is the only thing which puts it down as the staff were very hospitable and made you feel welcome. That's a relief after coming from France where every retailer thought you be the bain of their lives. The hotel has a nice little restaurant which serves a good breakfast. Just missing muffins or something pastry like to make it a great breakfast. There's a good pool and a gym. Can't expect much from hotel gyms but as far as they go, their one ain't that bad. They operate a free shuttle bus and our male driver was kind enough to wait for us to make sure we caught the right train. The staff are true ambassadors for their country! One suggestion to the hotel, how about renting bikes out, make a few euros on the side and be handy for the traveller to get around.

While my husband was on a business trip, we stayed in this hotel for two and half weeks. The staff is friendly and courteous. Breakfast was wonderful! The buffet breakfast included cereals, pancakes, fried and boiled eggs, fruits, yoghurts, cheese and meat. The room was a little worn, but it was clean and had a comfortable bed. I'm the type of person that checks the bathroom right away when I enter the room. This bathroom was sparkling clean! It also seemed like they have a heated bathroom floor. Although they do have soap pumps with industrialized soap, but I would bring my own soap and shampoo. There's a small balcony outside the room. There's a wonderful restaurant downstairs with weekly specials and affordable. We've tried almost every dish on that menu. There's also a swimming pool, a sauna and steam room 2 doors down for guests.

There isn't anything around this quiet neighborhood. We would either eat in the hotel or take the U2 to the city centre. The hotel is about 7 minutes walk to the U2 station. It's about 15-20 minutes downtown. The hotel sells you train/subway tickets, as well as postage stamps. We would stay at this hotel again!

I have now stayed in this hotel on 5 occasions. Our company always use it as our hotel when exhibiting at the Messe. The standard of their service is consistently high, with the same staff retained year after year. Seeing the same faces makes you feel instantly at home... I'm sure I even got the same room this year that I was given last year.

The rooms are situtated in the main building or in one of the 'annexes' next door, and can vary in size but are always spotlessly clean.

There is a small swimming pool, with sauna, situated in one of the annexes, but I've never managed to try this out!

The restaurant is one of the best things about the hotel. Although quite expensive, the food is top quality, with a large menu and weekly specials. This is useful, as alternative dining options within easy walking distance of the hotel are limited. The bar adjoining the restaurant is small but friendly, with bar snacks available. Breakfast is buffet-style with large choice of hot and cold food, including sausages, bacon, eggs, pancakes, cold meats/cheese/salad, variety of breads/cereals, fresh fruit & yoghurt

Our only complaint in the past was that it wasn't possible to 'dial-up' to the internet in some of the rooms, but now the hotel has a T-mobile wireless 'hot-spot' which was very easy to use and reasonably priced.

Although perfectly located for visiting the Exhibition Ground, the hotel is a good 30 minutes journey by underground (nearest station is Am Moosfeld, unsurprisingly!), and I'd guess 15-20 Euros by taxi. The journey from Munich Airport takes about 45 minutes and costs ~40-50 Euros.

It was a couple of years ago, but I came into Munich on an overnight train from Cologne, and wanted to find a place to stay for the night. While it is not located in the middle of the city, the train ride (subway) was fairly short. I always tell my friends that the Am Moosfeld stop was so clean that once could eat off the floor (that's a lot cleaner than Times Square station in NYC, let's put it that way).

I stayed only one night, and had a single room. The room was clean, bright and new (also pleasant smelling). At the time, I believe that cost about $50 for the night (during August 1999).

I am planning on staying there this summer when I pick up my new car in Munich!
