“Can be a little loud at night-time”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 21, 2013

The hotel is easy to get to from the Central station of Munich if you understand the Munich transportation system. The front desk is really nice and the breakfast is pretty decent. Rooms are pretty basic but very clean. The lock system can take several times to get used to (I was stuck out for about 10 minutes while I tried to figure it out). At night time the hostel can be pretty loud because of the amount of really young people who stay there. The noise though goes down early enough though if you do actually want to sleep. No air conditioning (if that's something you wanted)

We passed through Munich as part of a Contiki tour. The hostel was very large and had a very clean lobby. The only thing that was very annoying was the lock system they use for the doors. It took a little getting used too but came with a few tries. Had a room that had two sets of bunks. I ended up staying with a few people that were in our tour. Room overall was very clean and had a lot of space for the four of us to not get in each others way. The only weird thing was i wasn't allowed to stay with my girlfriend at the hostel. It turned out that men and women were not allowed to stay together. Which I found strange... because my girlfriend stayed in the room across the hall from me. Maybe it had something to do with security I have no idea. But other than that nice clean hostel. One more thing if you wanted WIFI you had to show a passport which i wasn't fine with so i just used the pay computers in the lobby. The lobby had two. The location was very good as well from the Hofbrauhaus beer hall it was only 12 euro cab fare. Would stay again.

Rooms were nice, clean and well accommodating. House cleaners went through all of my stuff including closed bags within my room. Also the noise level was almost intolerable, little kids and pre teens were running rampant and the front desk did nothing to keep the noise level down. I was staying here for about 1 month doing a study abroad program and the internet in my room just would not work about 90% of the time. Not only did the internet work only 10% of the time, it only worked on my computer and not my phone. To get any sort of internet i was forced to sit out in the hall while noisy children and teens ran up and down the hall blatantly breaking all the rules set by Haus International. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you don't mind incessant banging on doors at 3am, reliable internet and safety within rooms.

Room Tip: Do not choose a room anywhere near bathrooms, stairways or at the very ends of halls specifically ro...

keys were tricky, but they have a portable key system to demonstrate how the keys work. The room was spacious but the bathroom is tiny. Breakfast was good. Not a long wait depending on if you got their when a tour group was slated to have breakfast. bar/club in the basement was a fun place to start the night out! Felt safe that the hostel had security at night checking credentials to ensure no randoms walking about. Wifi is free but you must go to the front desk and give your passport info.

We stayed in Monaco for the FruehlingsFest in april and we slept in this hostel for 3 nights.
The room was simple and clean, the staff was kind and helpful, and the breakfast quite good.
The hostel it's about 15 minutes walking to the nearest metro station, for those who travel by car, there's a cheap (6€ per day) parking just in front of the hostel.

Stayed here on contiki, rooms were nice but the key system was hard to use. There was a club in the basement which was rather cool, nice breakfast area. Seemed to be close to town. Nice big place lots of stirs which I found quicker tab the elevator

Nice entrance, good and friendly staff, rooms were clean and there was enough space to put all your stuff. The breakfast buffet was large, great and good value. Only 'bad' thing: shower had only a curtain and no door to lock
