Stayed here for 3 nights mid July 2014. B&Breakfast.
A very fine family run hotel. Rooms excellent Breakfast superb.
Staff friendly and very helpful. Setting and location semi rural. Train station 400 m from Hotel. Leaves every 20 mins for centre which is 15 away [Marianplatz , Isator and others. So transport not a problem.
No tea facilities in room, but this was not a problem for us.
A most enjoyable few days.
Will return definitly.
Well donw

Room Tip: No comment ...[I'd no problem]

This hotel is not near The centre of Munich but it's only a 5 minute, pleasant walk to the train station and a 15 minute trip to Marianplatz. This wasn't a big deal to me and my husband. The price of hotel made it worth while (you save a lot of money by staying here even with the subway fare to and from the city centre).

The hotel is basic and clean. The restaurant and bar area is great as is the garden area. We managed to get free parking in front of the hotel (if you're lucky and get a spot). The staff was nice.

The only downside of this hotel is that there is no air conditioning. We stayed in June and it was a little hot at night. I'm sure this isn't a problem from September to May (the cooler months).

Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

no tea making facilities, so you have to fetch the tea tray from the kitchen or pay 6 euros for room service. limited toiletries for a 4star 'superior' hotel. language is a limitation with some of the staff as it is in the suburbs of Munich. So Know your basic German to enjoy the hotel. Nice spa in the basement.

Room Tip: ask for 1st or 2nd floor rooms.

I chose this hotel for a weekend in Munich after a business event because of Tripadvisor recommendations and the low price compared to Central Munich establishments. What a delightful surprise! The hotel doesn't look particularly impressive from the street but the inside is wonderful. The decor is modern but with just the right touch of old timber, glass, fabric to make it interesting. The lift in the lobby is beautiful timber and has a glass door. The room was beautiful, and bathroom was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The included breakfast was generous and tasty and the very smart blue uniforms of the staff created a 5 star feel. The reception staff were very helpful and would sell S-Bahn tickets. The hotel is near the Reim station a few stops from Marienplatz, down a lovely quiet street. The location was no disadvantage and the hotel was great value. I will certainly stay at the Prinzregent again when in Munich. Highly recommended

Room Tip: Room away from entrance and car park may be quieter, although not noisy anyway

Staying outside the city can bring down the cost of your stay in Munich. For a reasonable price, you get a clean, large room and a large breakfast buffet with both hot and cold choices. The desk speaks English, computers are available in the lobby at no cost, and you can buy the train tickets from the hotel. The station is about 200 meters away. I parked on the street although they have private parking for a fee. This is a charming hotel and we would stay here again on our next trip to Munich.

We stay always in this hotel when we come to Messe Munchen (it mean 2-3 times/ year). Friendly staff, very good restaurant and bar. You can find all the facilities here if you need any, just ask it from the staff. Nice outdoor area as well. Quiet location and the rooms are very good. Great breakfast, lot of choices (not normal in Germany). Parking area is quite small and garage as well if you have a bigger car than Mini.

The Prinzregent is a great change from the chain hotels. Room was comfortable, bed too. The curtains are just decoration! The window has a shutter, the switch is behind the curtain. Friendly and helpful staff. Pity I couldn't stay longer as I would have liked to try more of the menu!
