We spent nearly a full day here walking around the park, taking the trip to the top of the tower and visiting the BMW showroom. Another attraction that is well worth setting aside a full day to enjoy and it is worth the 5.50 euros to go up the tower as the views are stunning.

The grounds from the 1972 Summer Olympic games are open to the public. Some facilities have been converted to public use, such as the pool, but everything else is open for people to walk, run, and bike through. For a small fee (I believe it was 3 Euros) you can enter the Olympic Stadium. There are great views of the stadium, park, city of Munich, and even the Alps on a clear day. It is located right next to the BMW World. Also within walking distance and eyesight is the former Olympic Village (athlete's housing) which has been converted into local housing.

This is really a village built with state of art innovation. It was built with efficiency and convenience for athletes and spectators in mind. It is wonderful that 2 years ago it was opened for general public access and enjoyment. Clearly the Munich communities Re enjoying these lovely facilities and grounds

We visited Olympic Park on sunny Easter day and the park was really crowded, which lessen enjoying the scenery. But the view from up in the tower was worth the wait in elevator line.

As a huge Olympics fan, I was underwhelmed by the Park. The actual park, with the water and walking trails, was beautiful--I would love running/walking here if I lived here, but the stadiums and tower weren't too exciting for an out-of-towner.
