Its a bit out of town, and you can't really see much of the property at all. Drive by, and drive on. BMW museum is offered at this stop with the bus service.

Olympic Park is about a 15 minute train ride from city of Munich. It is very cool to see. The silver structures and architecture is very cool. I loved the tower and seeing the view. You get to see the rock museum inside the tower also but that is very tiny and a very limited number of items are there. I just though it was very strange that I did not see anything about the 1972 Olympics. I dont know if I was missing anything but I didnt see Olympic rings or even little signs with stories about the games. Even in the gift shop. There was nothing about the 1972 Olympics. You would think they would try to sell something about it!! I wanted to bring home souvenirs but there was nothing at all that even mentioned the 1972 Olympics. I dont understand this because other Olympic Stadiums ive seen go all out. Strange.

We visited the BMW complex as it was just right outside the U-Bahn and continued to the Olympic Stadium Park which was huge with a small hill and lake. It would be great for family outing, biking or leisure walk on a sunny day. We didn't pay to go into the various stadium so nothing particular to report.

Travel to Munich is incomplete without a visit to the Olympiapark. You can easily spend a day here going around the park. The Olymparium tower gives you magnificent views of Munich city. The stadia itself is an engineering marvel with modernistic design and the stretched roofs. Carry your swimming gear to swim in the Olympic pool.

If you have an extra 1/2 day or so and just want to see a bit of Olympic history this is worth it. The layout and history of the park is fantastic. Its an oasis of relaxation. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the serene sights of this place.
