The outside of Burgersaalkirche is spectacular and unlike any church that I've seen (it's pink!)! The inside is so detailed and beautiful! If you are in the pedestrian area then it is a very easy stop that you will not regret!

Neat little place on the pedestrian streets of Munich.. it also houses a quaint little museum inside the building.. if your in the area and walking thru the many churches on this street make sure you have a look inside.

This small, nondescript church with a red facade is located on Neuhauser Strasse between the Karlstor and St. Michael's Church. Built in 1709 as a Marian congregation, it is a church within a church. Entering on the ground level you will find a small High Altar surrounded by alcoves displaying near life size statues of Christ's Passion (the Way of the Cross). In the rear is a small museum displaying religious artifacts. Going upstairs you will find a beautifully decorated second church with a majestic High Altar and numerous frescoes. This church is also the final resting place of Father Rupert Mayer, who was a staunch opponent of Nazism. If you are visiting St. Michael's, walk a few more feet to view this little church. It's well worth a stop.
