Hotel Uhland features large, comfortable rooms, a location in a quiet residential neighborhood close to a subway station and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff ( especially Bridgette Rein). After spending a chunk of time in charming Tirol our transition to the very contemporary decor of the Uhland was a bit of a shock. Picture chartruese shag carpeting, matching ultra suede upholstery and architect white walls. But the room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the windows openable.
Front desk staff did a great job suggesting nearby restaurants. We loved La Vecchia Massina (Italian) and Banyan ( Vietnamese).
The breakfast area was a bit congested but it was staffed by a charming young woman in traditional dress.
We were in room 35. Great mini suite but the wall mounted TV was a real danger in terms of nailing oneself when going from room to room. Please move it.More
