“Comfortable rooms. great location”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

Great location near the Marianpaltz and the train station. Great for evening strolling and nearby dining. Parking garage nearby. Comfortable rooms. Free wifi, but I could not get it to work. Excellent breakfast buffet.

This hotel is in easy walking distance to the train station. (No more than 5 minutes and easy even pulling suitcases.) The staff is very friendly and helpful. The outside courtyard is an excellent place for an afternoon drink before evening activities. The room were as they were pictured on line. I found the beds quite hard, but some people love that. We ran into most places in Europe using two twin down comforters in a sheet pocket on King beds. This place is no different. By American standards this is not comfy, especially when it is warm out. The breakfasts were good, but a bit pricey. (14 euro) If you are someone who needs to eat breakfast consider paying or better yet, book it with breakfast included. It is possible to pay 4.50 euro for a crossiant and drink. Tour pick ups were close and a nice place for dinner right across the street. Would I choose this again if in Munich? Absolutely!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel when we took a trip to Germany in August 2012.

I can say that this place is first class. If you havent been to Europe before the rating system is a little different than the US. Rooms are smaller but this place was very nice.

Clean, comfortable, the front desk was very helpful. There is a garage a block away where you can park your rental car and it is cheaper than the garage at the hotel and easier to get in and out.

It is only a two block walk to the train station. You can get anywhere in Munich using the trains, trams and buses, highly recommend this.

The main downtown is also only a short and very nice walk from the hotel. The Spaten brewery us only a block away. Very good italian place across the street as well.

Also the breakfast is somewhat expensive but was pretty good. Ordinary european breakfast.

So close to the train station so super convenient. Rooms had enough space and were all we needed (minimal toiletries as with all hotels I've experienced in Europe). Wifi is annoying because you only get 30 min blocks and need to collect new logins from reception everytime! Otherwise easy, convenient, did the job!

The hotel is 5-10 minutes by foot from the HBF and it was also easy to walk to the attractions. The room was classically decorated and extremely clean. The bed was very very comfortable. I had stayed at a handful of hotels in Munich before and the King's Hotel Center has to be the top of my list. The receptionists were helpful and very pleasant.

can recommend this hotel for the helpful and friendly staff. The hotel is located near to the main train station city centre and Augustine beer gardens. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms but this was still satisfactory if not a bit small but we didn't intend to spend much time in the room. there is a lovely central courtyard where is was lovely to relax and have a drink after long days sight seeing. Breakfast was great and the dining area light and airy or you could have breakfast outside in the courtyard. Would definitely choose this hotel again. the street on which this hotel is located is busy with traffic but this didn't cause inside noise pollution and we felt safe at night on the street.

Room Tip: Our room was facing out the very back of the hotel over another enclosed courtyard which meant that...

We finished off our holiday with a weekend in Munich. We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. From the very beginning the staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was a problem to them. The rooms look big in the pictures but are actually on the small side as is the way in most City Centre Hotels.
The room has everything you need though charging €2.80 for a 330ml bottle of water is a bit much.
It was very hot in Munich towards the end of July but the air-conditioning dealt with the heat excellently and a good nights sleep was had.
At night the bar was open until late so a night cap was available when you came in from being out. The hotel is in walking distance from all the major sites in central Munich. It is also easy to book tours and trips from the hotel lobby at no extra cost. The airport bus leaves from the Hautbanhoff every 20 minutes and the hotel is less than 5 minutes from the station and the bus.
All in all a very pleasant stay and I will use the hotel the next time I am in Munich on Business.

Room Tip: Talk to the staff about Munich
