I agree with the vast majority of the reviews. The hotel is in a good location, very close to the Isartor S-Bahn station (the rail system in Germany is excellent). It is on a quiet side street and an easy walk to Marienplatz city center and many of the tourist sites in Munich. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had a large variety of breads, many cold meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurts, cereal and more. The front desk staff very friendly and the man who checked us in remembered my son's name several days later and asked him how he was doing.

One minus is that it doesn't have free WiFi. You have to buy access to the T-Mobile hot spot. I bought 10 hours for 25 euros. You could also buy 1 hour for 5 euros or unlimited 30 days for about 35-40 euros (don't remember). I mention the monthly plan since I saw other T-Mobile hot spots in Germany (in train stations for example), so if you have an extended trip in Germany, the monthly plan would be worth looking into. The site said it is only good in Germany and not other countries. Also the hotel lobby has a computer, but internet is not free. There is a sign saying it costs 50 cents per page.

Hotel has an excellent location, comfortable clean rooms, good breakfast, nice powerful shower.
All the staff were really helpful except the chinese looking night porter who always refused to make us coffee, whereas the other overnight gentleman was really pleasant and most helpful.
Only shortcomings would be the lack of air conditioning in the summer although they do have a few fans which were a great help, and no coffee making facilities in the rooms, although depending on who was on duty, this should be available in reception!

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the rear of the building in summer as the front rooms have the sun on them all day...

I chose this hotel solely based on its location to the heart of Munich. The hotel parking was a tight squeeze so be aware of that before taking just any car. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. The room was adequate for myself and two friends. The only issue we had was the a/c wasn't in working order or if it was just was extremely weak. The shower and bathroom overall was very nice. The breakfast had a really nice variety and seemed to be fresh. It would be nice if they offered complementary wifi which seems so standard anymore but there are work arounds. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just spent 3 days in Munich and picked this hotel due to the location and fantastic price.

It's 40 minutes from the Airport by Train (S-Bahn S8) if you get off at Isartor and then 4 minutes walk to the hotel and very easy to find. Group tickets (Partner Ticket) for upto 5 people are €20. The staff were very friendly and the front desk is manned 24 hours. Checkin was very quick and easy and some of us were able to checkin early.

Rooms were very clean and well maintained with some furniture in the rooms. Small LCD TV's, but no english channels, but I don't think you can mark a hotel down for that. Bathrooms were great if very small, with very good showers and Shower Gel dispencers. Hair driers were in the bathroom also.

As there is no Bar in the hotel, each room had a mini bar. The only let down with the room is that there is NO AIRCONDITIONING and it was 33c whilst we were there, although I was lucky and given a fan, most of my friends were not so lucky, and if you had a room at the rear of the hotel, the staff refused to give them a fan. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms, but if you ask nicely the receptionists will make you a coffee for a small fee.

RECOMMENDATION TO HOTEL : PUT A FAN IN EVERY ROOM

Breakfast was more than adequate, there was scrambled eggs and the usual cold meats, cereals, croissants, toast, etc..... But no bacon, etc....

I would definitely stay there again, but would insist on a fan upon checkin.

Also, the only place that had free wifi in Munich we found was Starbucks, everywhere else you pay, so make sure you get a internet package with your phone before you go if you need it.

Initially I wasn't expecting very much of this hotel. But from the very time of arrival in high season, it was okay with early check-in. Room was cozy and had quite a good space. Amenities and facilities of the room were also fine. T-mobile wireless internet was not free, but the price was affordable.
The best value of this hotel is, obviously, its location. Within two minutes walk from Hofbrauhaus and from S-bahn station Isartor, it's almost a marvel (especially with its reasonable price).
Staff was very friendly and assisted us with advices and matters, that arose during our stay.
Breakfast... Well, of course, it wasn't a huge buffet, but it was well-sufficient for a tourist traveler and spared us some euros, that we might have had to pay for breakfast elsewhere.
In general - hotel is really recommended by me.

Stayed for business and chose this hotel as it was central and in a safe location. Was given room 603 which was fabulous - a huge attic space with some good views. Breakfast was very good and service excellent. No aircon but I did not have any issue with that. Good value. Would stay again.
