The hotel wasn't mind-blowing but it was an ideal location to get to and from Oktoberfest. The beds had very thin mattresses and were not optimal, but both my double room and our friends' was HUGE. We were in 125 and 126. Bathrooms were large as well.

Breakfast stopped at 10:00 sharp, and my friend (German-speaking) had to fight to get an apple at 10:05. But I imagine they'd been dealing with Oktoberfest crowds all week and may not have been the most patient :)

If you're going to Oktoberfest, this hotel is great: relatively cheap, walking/stumbling distance home, and close to a couple of fast food places for that late night snack :)

Don't stay here!!!! Terrible hotel in a bad area. If you like small, cramped, dirty, nasty hotels with moldy, disgusting bathrooms, then this is the place for you! One of the worst hotels that I have ever endured. Awful!

We stayed in the Germania Hotel for 3 nights in June and we found the hotel very good value for money , the rooms are clean the beds comfortable , on arrival we had room 224 which was a suite but it was facing the main road and we had a disturbed night due to the loud noises outside until 4 or 5 am then the shop opposite started to open and a lot more noise ,we asked to be moved and we then had a smaller room on the 4th floor at the back smaller room but less noise, the shower cubicle is on the small side i had a job to get in and out of it and the beds not as comfy ,The breakfast was very nice lovely rolls cold meats cheese smoked salmon eggs sausage all good but coffee was not great ,The location was great a short walk 4 to 5 mins from main station and only 2 stops from the main part of the old town with plenty of choice to dine out , The transport network is great and starts at the end of the road . A great value for money stay for a long weekend. Some of the hotel staff are a bit vague when asked about some of the tourist sites but there is a tourist office by the station .

very roomie. booked two people and got three single beds (two singles together). bathroom very nice. stayed on the second floor. staff friendly and helpful.
didnt like the street it was on much. a lot of people hanging out not doing anything but watching people. they didn't appear to want to do anything bad but just made you very cautious.
great location in the aspect of near the train station and it was also near the pub crawl we went to that night.
i would definitely stay there again.

The Germania Hotel is located very close to the Bahnhof. Great location for getting in and out on the trains. The room was basic, my husband and I were happy with the beds, and compact bathroom. If we were going to spend all our time in our room, we would have booked elsewhere. It is a perfect place to come in weary after a fun day of sightseeing, wash up, hit the beds, and wake up for a full round of sightseeing again. The breakfast had more than enough to pick from and fill oneself. As for the surrounding area, we walked the streets late at night with no problems. It is a safe area.

Loved the service and friendliness, lovely breakfast( not a huge choice).
Hated the quality of the beds, they had poor matresses so comfort was limited and you wouldn't be able to lie longer than till the springs were pushing into your back or hips.
Not having a hairdryer in the room made my wife a little frustrated, although on asking we got one for 10 euro deposit.
