Owner description: The Verkehrszentrum has adopted a new concept to showcase land transport in the exhibitions in three historic former trade fair halls at the Theresienhöhe facility. Trams, buses, cars, and two-wheelers drive down a road through time to the past and tell the stories of inner-city transport systems, infrastructures and traffic safety. Coaches, fast train locomotives, Pullman cars, and caravans paint a picture of the urge to travel from the pilgrimage to modern camper vans. The Verkehrszentrum breaks new ground with its exhibition concept. It attempts to present mobility in all its complexity.

Lots of turbine engines. Son was bored stiff. Kids' area downstairs not great either. Luzern Museum of Transport much better.

Part of the ticket price when go to science and technology museum, need about 1.5-2 hrs. Great range of cars and motor bikes over the years, trains and buses less impressive. Interesting if you have time but plenty of other museums and sights in Munich I would put ahead of this. Easy to find from nearby Ubahn and there is bus stop outside, across road from Munich Octoberfest site, which was being set up at end August and was itself worth seeing!
