We have been to Il Mondo many times over the years, and the restaurant, the airport view, and the Sunday brunch has always been a delightful experience. Last Sunday my wife had her birthday party and we had a separate room for 35-40 people. Welcome drinks were given, the very friendly and helpful Italian waiter even had a bell to ring and catch attention, birthday cake served at the end, and the stunning view of planes landing and flying really impressed our guests, young and old. The Italian table wines red and white were good, and included in the buffet together with juices, coffee and tea. As usual, the buffet kept the restaurant full from 11am til 3pm. There's breakfast buffet of muslis, cereals, bread, and even weisswuerst and Italian ham specialties; a dozen appetizers from mozzarella cheese, parma ham, smoked fish, seafood salad, to other Italian specialties; a salad buffet; pasta station of 3 different types including spaghetti bolognese; warm grilled fish dish with different trimmings; grilled/roast meat station of beef, calf, and suckling pig with matching sauses; for the kids calamare rings, fish fillets and french fries; and a desert buffet of 5 types from fruits to cakes...We will definitely come back on our own or with friends - just remember its very popular that one needs to book many weeks in advance.
