We stayed here for nine nights during Oktoberfest. Since we stayed more than seven nights, our nightly rate was very reasonable, especially during a special event. We stayed in one of the double economy apartments, and it was very comfortable for two people. The kitchenette was a big help throughout our stay, too. The desk staff was courteous and spoke English very well, which we appreciated. Since it's only a 10-15 minute walk to the Oktoberfest grounds, the location worked well for us. When we wanted to go anywhere else, we caught the 58 bus right around the corner at Baldeplatz. We knew beforehand that the room would only be cleaned every three days, so this didn't bother us at all. However, we had read that the minibar was regularly stocked with complimentary water and beer, but it was never replenished during our stay. We also encountered some issues with the temperature control, but other than that, our stay was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others visiting Munich.

Dear bama78,

The Octoberfest is over now.. But we can assure you - next year it will come again. And hopefully you too :-)
Our everyday refill service for the minibar is only for the hotel guests. Since you booked an apartement price there is a cheaper rate but only a minibar as an arrival treatment. But of course you also have the one hour internet for free per day and the six sky Tv-channels for free.

So if you need help planning your next Octoberfest-visit..
Do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during Oktoberfest. The guests were a mix of German businessmen and foreign tourists. The hotel is in a mixed/residential area not far from the city centre. Its a good 10 minute walk from the nearest underground station but there is a bus stop nearby . Reception was light and airy and the staff spoke good English.
The room was clean and comfortable and had a safe and a kitchenette area with fridge, kettle and microwave. There is a supermarket next door to the hotel.
Our room at the front of the hotel experienced some traffic noise in the mornings if you had the windows open. We didnt hear any noise from other guests.
All in all nothing to complain about and I would stay there again.

Room Tip: rooms at the back of the hotel are probably quieter.

The hotel is located in a residential area, far away from the centre, but in a very quiet surrounding. The facilities are a little bit old-fashioned, but it’s ok.

They tried to charge much more that we agrees with Booking, therefore we had to argue hard with the unfriendly staff in front our kids, and finally after they recognized that they do not care about the booking English website.
During the discussion the manager was hiden in his desk, and he doesn't show up at all in order to apologize.

Dear Kekeros,

I would very much appreciate if you give me the chance in contacting you directly.
Your experience during check-out is not the desired service we would like to present.
In our hotel we try to treat our guests as friends not only as costumers or guests - so a hidden manager is definitely not acceptable and I would like to clear this matter in person.
Even it is late - I hope you take my apologize for the inconvenience you and your family were faced.
I would be happy to contact you either by phone or email - due to our high data protection I can not identify your guest account without your permission.

Hope to hear you soon.

Kind regards

The hotel itself was quite beautiful, the service was friendly and the price was great! I can imagine that it is more expensive during Octoberfest, though. It is a good location for Octoberfest. Our room had a balcony, mini kitchen, large bath and was roomy. Take the nearby bus to the train station....it only takes about 10 minutes and go to the Glockenbach area nearby in the evening....a lovely kneipe area with bars and cafes. We didn´t go to the restaurant, but it looked very good...we also didn´t have time for the fitness room. There is also free WLAN...what more could you want?!

We stayed here for two nights in August on a business trip. The first room we were shown was split level, dark and the furniture was rather jaded. We asked to move and were given a bigger room on one level. The bathrooms were clean (could do with more towels), but the rest of the place has a grubbiness about it. There were no pans, plates or cutlery and we had to ask at reception for them. However, the staff are friendly and did respond quickly to our requests.
Breakfast was a buffet self-service (though they will cook you eggs if you want) and reasonable value at 14 euros.
There is a small fitness room, though my card key didn't work so I couldn't get in, and the sauna is only available between 5 and 10 pm.
Overall we were disappointed. The hotel was further out of town than we thought and wasn't as good as it looked on the Internet. And 183 euros a night was steep for the experience.

Dear NottinghamEdge,

we are very pleased that you took time to give us a review regarding your stay.
All our rooms are equipt with a kitchinette, a huge fridge with freezer and for hotel guest with a free of charge coffee station. The missed pots and plates are only given for apartment guests which are staying four nights or more - automatically. We appologize that this was not pointed out to you in the beginning.

Unfortunately we can not improve on our location - but we are the only hotel right next to the river Isar and within walking distance to the Octoberfest, Deutsches Museum and the legendary Glockenbach-Quarter.

If you like to have an even closer distance to the inner city center just have a look on our brand new hotel Campo dei Fiori (20 meters away from the viktualienmarket)

If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards

Was not certain how this hotel will work out after ready varying comments on TA on it but I was pleasantly surprise to find this apartment hotel very nice - spacious room, nicely decorated, clean and have comfortable bed ... beside the kitchenette which we did not use. Like most Derag chain, toiletries come in a common bottle of liquid soap and fridge is stock with free 2 bottle of mineral water and 2 bottle of beer. Internet is free for 1st hour.

This hotel is a bit off location for tourist like us as we need to walk at least 10 minutes to the nearby subway or take the local bus around the corner in the opposite road in front of the hotel. It is quite a distance to downtown Munich where all the action is. We are on a driving excursion of Europe and have a very difficult time finding street parking even after 11pm .

Staffing as with most Derag chain is limited at the reception (at most 2 serving guest even in the morning). But the service these limited staff provide is excellent - polite, friendly and informative.

There is a local supermarket next door but selection wise for groceries is limited and price is at the upper end. Area is pretty quiet after 7pm and one has to go to downtown Munich to experience great food and a vibrant time in the evening.

Located in a nice residential neighborhood with a supermarket directly next door, a cool restaurant (Hong Kong Bar) up the block, laundromat next to restaurant , bus stop directly to the Marienplatz across the street and Oktoberfest a nice 10 walk. The hotel staff was so very kind and patient. This is primarily a business hotel so it is relatively quiet during Oktoberfest. The rooms were pretty cool. Let me explain.. once you get past the dark wood 70's feel of the foyer, the room is very nice and comfy. It's clean, the kitchenette has a dishwasher, fridge, silverwear, glasses, dishwashing soap and if i remember correctly diswasher detergent. If you think you are getting two twin beds, you are BUT they are pushed close together to form a king. Of course you can push them apart. The bathroom was good but it has the european half glass enclosure that really did NOTHING to prevent water and soap from going everywhere (could be just me) just ask for extra towels to put on the floor. Oh, and the website says they have laundry facilitties on site...they do but don't count on anyone coming back to remove their clothes on time, just go to the laundromat up the block and have a drink or chineese food at the restaruant next door. This hotel was such a pleasant surprise to find I seriously can't wait to go back. Oh the only negative, was that I booked a family suite online but when we checked in they told us that we would get standard rooms at the special "Oktoberfest" rate. It wasn't too much of a big deal, the room was just fine.
