If you need an airport hotel room then I would recommend this hotel. The service was impeccable. All the staff were really friendly. On check in we were offered an upgrade as this we asked for a quiet room (and you could hear nothing!). The restaurant was good. The spa and swimming pool were superb. Finally, it was just two minutes walk to terminal two. All in all excellent.

Very fast check-in and check-out, cheerful and quick service (housekeeping). Only problem: room air-conditioned to the max when it was cool outside. It was uncomfortable (and wasteful).

I stayed at the Kempinski for one night prior to a business meeting.

The location is excellent, in a square between Terminals 1 and 2, and within 200m of my office. It is slightly nearer to Terminal 2 (Lufthansa), but only a maximum 5 minute walk to Terminal 1 check in (British Airways), and almost all of the walk is covered. The train station is also within maybe 200m.

The Kempinski is not cheap - even on a corporate rate, it is still over 140 Euro - but it is incredibly convenient and very efficient. Prices are on the high side for drinks and food (31 Euro for breakfast!), but in the square outside there are several bars & restaurants (including a Burger King) and there's a decent grocery shop/deli/bakery just inside Terminal 1.

There are 2 or 3 resturants in the hotel but, as I was travelling alone, I resorted to room service and the Kempinski Burger (chicken, pineapple & curry mayonnaise) was truly outstanding. Service was pretty quick and my meal was beautifully presented.

The rooms themselves are very large & well equipped. Internet is available but there is a charge. Luckily my I-Pass conncention worked here so no need to pay out. One criticim was that there was no spare plug socket at the desk for my laptop. Bathroom amenities were overly generous in size (50ml), but lacked hair conditioner & body lotion.

Bathrobe & slippers were very handy for nipping down to the leisure club. From my room, there was a direct lift, but from the other wing you would need to go across the main lobby areas to get to the pool. The pool area is very pleasant, with an 18m pool, jaccuzi, saunas (both gender-specific and mixed) and lots of loungers. Additional bathrobe, slippers & towels are available, plus complimentary fruit, water & teas. There is also a bar/snack service available. My only criticism is that it does not open until 7am.

The fitness room is open 24 hours for hotel residents. It is reasonably well equipped (3 treadmills, 2 cross trainers, 2 bikes, a rower and several weights machines). Small towels are provided for use in the gym.

Overall, the Kempinski is pretty good and I will certainly stay there again.

Stayed here for 1 night in August 09 as we had a 6am flight the following morning. Compared to other airport hotels that I've stayed in worldwide it definitely doesn't match the comfort of those such as the Hilton Chains.

The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, a minute walk to T2 (if you're flying Lufthansa or any Star Alliance partners) and add a few minutes more to get to T1 for all other airlines.

Check in was handled very efficiently and the staff were very professional in there appearance and manner.

We were in a Standard Room, located on level 2 of the complex. View was back into the atrium (not that spectacular).

The room was spacious and clean however it was dated. Furnishings were simple and the beds are very firm! And the air con is very loud. The bathroom, once again, simple but clean and bathroom amenities are provided but definitely not to the quality of those of a 5 star hotel.

We didn't make use of any other facilities so can't comment on those.

For the rate that we paid €160 (room only) I would consider this ok but would only stay here out of necessity of needing to be close to the airport.

I satyed ther two or three time due to the fact that I've missed my connetion flight and I would say only one thing: I'm sorry that it happend just few times. Staying in such hotel compensate you all things that happened to you if you missed the flight. Romms are perfect, clean and comfortable, food is deicious and you can feel great luxury atmosphere.

This is probably the most spectacular hotel I have ever stayed at -- a 5-star glass palace (for only $180 a night!). The location of the hotel was unbeatable because I had to get up at 4 a.m. to catch a flight to the U.S. and it was a short 10-minute walk from my hotel to the terminal. I wish I could have spent more time here and enjoyed their pool with the Greek columns. The view from the room was great. The room was huge with a huge bed, a well-stocked bar (I had the local Riesling), and they made a great hamburger for the American.

After a 2 1/2 week trip through Europe with my wife, 12 year old daughter and niece, we stayed at the Kempinski Hotel Airport Munchen during our last night. The hotel was very convenient after dropping off our rental car. When we checked in their was a nice fruit platter and Gummi Bears for the girls. The breakfast the next morning was fantastic.

We were able to get a great Internet rate on a Junior Suite and would definitely stay there again.
